Sea figure, freeze: cooking delicious and healthy fish dishes for children

The child is supposed to be given fish twice a week. So says one of the rules of healthy eating. How exactly this should be done, there is no word in the rules. After all, not all children are favorable to this product. So mothers have to resort to all sorts of tricks. We offer you to make a delicious fish menu, which even the most convinced fastidious will not refuse. And the Maguro trademark will help us in this.

Tender and tender halibut

An air souffle is a fail-safe way to persuade a child to eat fish. It is best to choose low-fat white sea varieties, such as halibut “Maguro”. All the nutrients necessary for proper growth and development are contained in this fish in an optimal ratio, are absorbed easily and in full. In addition, halibut does not cause any allergic reactions. The fillet is already peeled, and due to the protective layer of ice glaze, freshness is preserved for a long time.

Defrost 400 g of halibut fillet, wash and dry well. We disassemble it into fibers and grind it with a blender. Add 2 raw yolks, 200 g of sour cream, salt to taste, mix thoroughly. Separately, whisk 2 chilled proteins into thick, persistent peaks, gently introduce them into the fish mass. Fill it with oiled silicone molds and put it in the oven at 180°C for about 20-25 minutes. In any case, do not open the door during the process, and remove the finished souffle from the molds for at least 15 minutes. Then it will turn out especially lush and appetizing.

Cutlet with a secret

With no less eagerness, the children will take up the fish cutlets. To make them juicy and tender will help the fillet of cod “Maguro”. It contains little fat, but a lot of full-fledged easily digestible protein. And this fish is rich in iodine, which improves memory and concentration. In the diet of schoolchildren, it should be mandatory.

Prepare 400 g of cod fillet “Maguro”, as in the previous recipe, and cut into large pieces. Remove the crusts from 2 slices of loaf, soak the pulp in 40 ml of milk for 5 minutes, then squeeze well. Chop the onion head into several parts. Grate a large raw carrot.

We pass through a meat grinder fish fillet with onions and bread crumbs. Add to the resulting mass of carrots, eggs, salt to taste and knead the minced meat. We make small cutlets, hiding inside a boiled quail egg. Roll the cutlets in breadcrumbs and bake for 40 minutes on a baking sheet at 180°C. Such cutlets with a surprise inside will intrigue the child, and he will probably ask for more.

Ice fish under a creamy cover

When there is no time to conjure at the stove, you can bake the fish in the oven delicious and simple. To do this, we will need an ice fish “Maguro”. This product boasts an impressive supply of calcium, phosphorus, iron, magnesium, sodium, potassium — elements that are essential for the growth of the child’s body. In addition, there are almost no bones in the ice fish. A specific smell and sharp taste are also not peculiar to it.

Defrost 3 small carcasses of ice fish, boil in salt water for 5-7 minutes and cut into several portions. This is enough time to make a milk sauce. Lightly brown 1 tablespoon of flour in a dry pan and mix with 1 tablespoon of melted butter. Pour in 100 ml of warmed milk, gently bring the sauce to a boil, salt to taste. You can put a pinch of black pepper and nutmeg here.

Put the fish in a baking dish, pour the milk sauce and sprinkle with 100 g of grated cheese. In this form, put it in a preheated 200°C oven and stand for 20-25 minutes. Tender ice fish under a ruddy cheese crust is best complemented by buckwheat porridge or pasta.

Hake on a rice bed

Fish casseroles have won the sympathy of small gourmets. It is no coincidence that this dish is often included in the menu in kindergartens. Hake “Maguro” is ideally suited for the role of the main ingredient for a casserole. In fact, this is a dietary fish that is well absorbed by the child’s body, saturating it with full-fledged protein, amino acids, vitamins and minerals. By the way, in baked form, hake retains them almost completely.

In advance, boil until half-cooked 250 g of round-grain rice. We cut up 2 carcasses of hake, wash, dry and cut into small slices. Lubricate the deep form with vegetable oil. Evenly distribute the rice, and on top of it-pieces of hake. Mix the sauce from 100 g of sour cream, 50 g of tomato paste and a handful of chopped parsley, salt and pepper to taste. Thickly lubricate the fish sauce and send it to the oven at 200°C for 20-25 minutes.

Next, whisk 100 ml of milk and egg into a foamy mass, pour the casserole and put it in the oven for another 10 minutes. If desired, you can add carrots, zucchini, cauliflower, green peas, corn and even mushrooms to the filling. It all depends on the taste preferences of your children.

Special purpose soup

Red fish should also appear regularly in the children’s diet. Especially in late autumn, when beriberi enters the active phase. So, salmon contains vitamins A and B group, as well as a whole complex of micro – and macronutrients. Scientists have proven that this fish helps to fight depression. We offer to prepare a soup from the fillet of salmon “Maguro” to strengthen children’s immunity.

Put the peeled onion, 400 g of salmon fillet, bay leaf and 2-3 peas of black pepper in a saucepan. Pour all 1.5 liters of water, bring to a boil and cook the broth, constantly removing the foam. As soon as the fish is ready, remove it from the pan, cool and cut into slices. Onion and spices are also removed.

We put 2 potatoes in the broth with cubes and 500 g of broccoli, breaking it into small inflorescences. Cook the vegetables until softened, thoroughly puree with a blender and pour in 150 ml of warmed cream. Stirring frequently, bring the soup to a boil and stand on low heat for 2-3 minutes. We pour the soup on plates, spread the slices of salmon and decorate with sprigs of dill. Do not forget to serve it with croutons or homemade rye crackers.
