Although most cases of infection are in China itself, the virus has already reached, among others to Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore, Australia, but also Canada, the United States and Germany, France and Finland. Which cities are most at risk from the coronavirus? Scientists did the calculations.

Countries and cities most vulnerable to the Wuhan coronavirus

Southampton researchers have identified cities and provinces in China and the cities and countries around the world that are currently most at risk from spreading the Wuhan coronavirus.

Based on an analysis of travel destinations, scientists determined that Thailand, Japan and Hong Kong are the most vulnerable regions. It was followed by the USA (6), Australia (10) and Great Britain (17). The list also includes Germany (15), Canada (16) and France (21), i.e. countries where the first cases of coronavirus have been confirmed.

Bangkok, Hong Kong and Taipei were on the podium of cities at risk of the virus. Seoul, Tokyo, Singapore and Phuket were selected in further places. Frankfurt (30), London (19) and Paris (27) also ranked in the top XNUMX.

As for mainland China, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Chongqing are most at risk, along with the provinces of Guangdong, Zhejiang, Sichuan and Henan.

To date, the virus has been identified outside of China in Thailand, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Australia, Macau, Malaysia, France, United States, Germany, South Korea, United Arab Emirates, Canada, Vietnam, Cambodia, Finland, Napal and Sri Lance.

At the moment, 7 people are infected, 783 deaths have been confirmed, and 170 people have been cured (data 133:8, 15/30.01.2020/XNUMX).

The Wuhan coronavirus manifests itself just like the flu. A characteristic symptom is high fever and breathing problems. Other symptoms include muscle aches, weakness, cough and sore throat. There is currently no cure for the Wuhan coronavirus, so the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate reminds you to take care of hygiene, wash your hands frequently and avoid contact with infected people.
