Having found out that we dream just before waking up, scientists have created an application that can influence the phase of short sleep and the quality of dreams that we see.
Can you forget about nightmares? Psychologists from the University of Hertfordshire (UK) found way to control dreams, and with benefit. They found that the dream we have just before waking up affects how we feel in the morning. Those whose sleep was accompanied by natural sounds, such as the sound of waves, the rustle of leaves, or the chirping of birds, did have more positive dreams and woke up in a good mood. The result was the Dream:ON application. It monitors the movements of the sleeper and at the moment when the phase of short sleep begins, it starts playing an audio recording with the sounds of wildlife.
