How the performance of children is affected by the amount of drinking

Scientists have made parents around the world think that the success of a child depends not only on his intellectual abilities, perseverance but also on how much water he drinks daily.

The basis for this conclusion was a study conducted at the University of Illinois (Illinois State University). It showed that a sufficient amount of water in the child’s diet invariably leads to the brain’s flexibility and increased multitasking.

Thus, the experiments allowed to say that drinking large amounts of water — at least 2.5 liters for four days by children aged 9-11 years have led to a noticeable improvement in reactions in tests for task switching.

Moreover, as noted by the researchers, increased the speed of response to changes and the effectiveness of their implementation.

In connection with this information, adults need to consider how debugged drinking regime in the family, how accessible are water and don’t forget to encourage children drinking sufficient quantity.
