Scientists: Eating Eggs Doesn’t Cause Heart Disease

Eating eggs, and in particular yolk, does not harm human health. They can be safely eaten without fear for the work of the heart and blood vessels, say doctors from the United States. Their statement is based on research findings published in the American Heart Journal. From the publication it follows that two eggs in the morning not only do not harm people’s health, but effectively replenish the norm of valuable protein, the presence of which is important for the full functioning of the body.

Scientists cite a study in America as an example. A little more than three dozen elderly people took part in it. Their average age was 67 years. They were asked to eat two eggs every day in the morning. At the end of the survey, participants were examined to assess their health status. He showed that the regular inclusion of eggs in their diet did not negatively affect health. Their blood flow was normal, there was no increase (or decrease) in blood pressure, and body weight did not change. All these indicators indicate only one thing: the use of eggs is harmless to the health of young and old people. And even those who suffer from heart disease.

Recall that before that, doctors advised to limit the number of eggs on the menu, citing their high cholesterol content. Now the theory was invalidated, the product harmless. Even for people who have pathologies of the cardiac and vascular systems.
