The School of Russian Practical Psychology is a tradition of psychological work focused on the practical needs of a wide range of people with a sufficient level of culture.

Russian practical psychology began to take shape in the mid-80s. Its origins were such famous personalities as V.L. Levy, A.B. Dobrovich, V.K. Tarasov, A.P. Egides, N.I. Kozlov, M.E. Litvak, as well as M.S. Norbekov, I.O. Vagin, A.G. Sviyash, I.B. Nezovibatko and S.Yu.Klyuchnikov.

Later M. Atlasov, A. Bakirov, V. Vinogradov, T. Gagin, G. Efimov, A. Kalabin, O. Paratnova, V. Pichugin, D Ustinov, D. Shvetsov, S. Shipunov and others joined this movement.

Over three decades of work, we have managed to accumulate a lot of experience in the development of a harmonious personality, to form a powerful potential for a positive impact on the public and, above all, the youth environment. The most important principle of the work of practical psychologists in Russia is to shift the focus from solving a person’s momentary problems to the formation of a stable skill to confidently build one’s own life. The accumulated experience of practical psychology allows us to solve such complex problems as:

  • development of the ability to learn, the realization of one’s natural abilities,
  • development of an active life position,
  • strengthening the faith of each person in their own strength, developing the qualities of a leader and organizer, increasing business efficiency, instilling skills for effective cooperation,
  • increasing personal stability, resilience in the face of stress, the formation of a positive attitude,
  • assistance in creating good families and raising healthy children;
  • creation of conditions for the formation of interethnic tolerance and tolerance in society.

The work of the organizations of the Russian School of Practical Psychology is well known among the most active population, primarily among the youth. The total circulation of books by the leaders of Russian practical psychology has exceeded 30 million copies. More than one million people pass through clubs, centers and associations of practical psychology every year.

Organizationally, the School of Russian Practical Psychology unites its members within the framework of the Association of Personality Development Professionals.
