School etiquette: rules, culture, how to behave in class and school
School culture of behavior consists of numerous prescriptions. A small person who has come to study should know at least the main ones.
You need to come to school about ¼ h before the start of lessons. In winter, during this time, you need to have time to hand over your outerwear to the wardrobe and change into clean shoes.
The student needs to take notes on the following tips:
- All entries in notebooks and diary must be done carefully. It is desirable that the diary be completed 2 weeks in advance, and all homework should be written in the appropriate column.
- It is best to collect a portfolio in the evening, so as not to waste time on this in the morning. In a hurry, you can forget the most important thing.
- The sound on the mobile phone must be turned off so that calls and messages do not distract classmates and teachers.
- A well-mannered person will never allow himself to use rude expressions and use indecent gestures. Even if everyone around you says bad words, you need to keep yourself in control and not allow yourself to do such things.
- When a teacher, principal, or other adults enter the premises, school etiquette instructs students to stand up and silently greet them.
- During classes, it is forbidden to talk with classmates, turn around and leave the room without asking. If you need to ask the teacher a question, you just need to raise your hand.
- There should always be order on the desk. It is better that only the necessary things lie on it. If a teacher asks for help, he must be helped. It is good if the students themselves guess about the help themselves and offer it.
To leave lessons, you need to get permission from a teacher or nurse. You cannot skip classes without a reason. After absence, you must bring a doctor’s note or an explanatory note from your parents.
How to behave in class and school during recess
At recess, you also need to behave with dignity. During the break, it is prohibited:
- run along stairs and corridors, slide down the railing;
- push and fight;
- use obscene gestures and words;
- throw objects at students;
- slam doors;
- sit on the windowsills, even if the windows are closed.
A break is the time given to rest, prepare for the next lesson, have a snack, go to the bathroom or the library. Calm behavior during recess indicates that the student respects himself and those around him.
Although there are many rules, it is not at all difficult to follow them. Over time, this becomes a good habit, so you don’t even need to think about observing etiquette. A well-mannered person always makes only a favorable impression.
