Schizophrenia is the boom of our time

Scientists have found that the signs of schizophrenia are increasingly observed today, while the age of «beginning» schizophrenics is decreasing and, to a greater extent, tends to adolescence. The picture of the beginning, or the so-called debut, is difficult to define. Adolescence is characterized by frequent mood swings, quarrels with parents, the search for one’s «I», sometimes in the most distorted forms.

Schizophrenia is the boom of our time

This is facilitated by the social environment in which the teenager lives, and the attitude of the state towards schoolchildren. They grow up as infantile consumers, unable and unwilling to do anything. They are not ready for the difficulties and harsh everyday life, they cannot and do not want to put up with the problems that arise. Against this background, schizophrenia “starts”, which “takes away” adolescents from the real world.

Children withdraw into themselves, succumb to feelings of hopelessness and impasse in life. The lack of parental authority pushes them to seek understanding outside the family. They become victims of virtual «mentors» who manipulate the unformed psyche of adolescents, bring even greater doubts to the perception of life around them. In this situation, «opens its arms» schizophrenia.

Problems are not only for teenagers

It would be wrong to assume that schizophrenia begins only in adolescence, when it is impossible to determine whether the child is ill, or whether these are features of the psyche of a teenager. The disease can affect anyone, especially since scientists still cannot accurately determine its origins, putting forward various versions:

  • genetic, transmitted through generations;
  • social, caused by the current situation;
  • ecological;
  • the psychological characteristics of the patient.

Schizophrenia is the boom of our time

Such a spread of assumptions is caused by a gradual increase in symptoms, which cannot be immediately identified. Moreover, today experts define the disease as sluggish.

It manifests itself in different ways: for many — foolish behavior, various eccentricities, eccentricity. On TV screens, you can see bloggers who are promoted by the media. Their names are well-known among young people, and their strange behavior is presented almost as a model of the behavior of a modern young man. Propaganda of blogging, huge earnings on the Internet and for the majority — the impossibility of their implementation plunges young people into depression, from which one step and schizophrenia. They do it quite boldly.

In more mature people, social problems that they are not able to solve cause long-term depressive and stressful conditions. Scandals in the family, accusations of inability to earn money, insults (You are a loser!), which sound in every quarrel, lead to a desire to isolate oneself from the negative, which leads to the following consequences:

  • a person closes in on himself;
  • becomes indifferent to what is happening;
  • His emotions are blunted.

Prolonged experiences lead to the appearance of first sound hallucinations: some extraneous noises, whistling, crackling. Then voices begin to sound in my head. At first they frighten, then they begin to «lead» actions. Sound hallucinations are then replaced by terrible visions. All this together can cause the appearance of twilight consciousness, complete submission to the phenomena of the other world, a tendency to suicide and even its realization.

Schizophrenia is the boom of our time

The ranks of schizophrenics are growing, despite the statistics

The deteriorating economic situation plunges many into schizophrenic states. It should be noted that the level of mental development in schizophrenia is preserved. Moreover, the names of schizophrenics are well known, which are inscribed in golden letters in the history of world science and culture, among them:

  • the great writer N.V. Gogol;
  • · world chess champion B. Fischer;
  • · Nobel Laureate in Mathematics D. Nash;
  • artist V. Van Gogh;
  • Russian composer A. Scriabin;
  • · physicist and mathematician I. Newton;
  • philosopher F.V. Nietzsche.

There are other examples.

Although it is very difficult to find open statistics on this disease, the increase in mental disorders is steadily increasing, as evidenced by the statistics. What are the prospects for the development of society in such a situation is a big question.
