PSYchology

Author — A.P. Egides. The book «How to understand people, or the Psychological drawing of personality»

Philosophy and schizoid are «twin brothers», almost like «Lenin and the Party» in their time. This paranoid person is not very interested, matter gives rise to spirit or spirit matter … And this is what is important for the schizoid. For them, «Marx’s fourth thesis on Feuerbach» is unacceptable: until now, philosophers have explained the world, but it is necessary to remake it. They don’t want to redo anything, but they try to explain everything. Some names of philosophical works are worth something! “The World as Will and Representation” (Schopenhauer), “Phenomenology of the Spirit” (Hegel), etc. Their philosophical works are difficult to understand, they are written in a confusing, dark language, with a lot of reticence and allegory. In them, as elsewhere in the schizoid, there are long verbal constructions, consisting of many complex and complex sentences, flavored with numerous participial and participial phrases, endless introductory words, explanations in brackets, dashes, colons, dots … Let us recall that the paranoid one has something similar but there is a different motivation. The paranoid person values his thought so much that he is afraid of not conveying something to the reader. And the schizoid is simply interested in sorting out the details and contradictions himself.

He falls into euphoria from mental casuistry, admires it. “Non-existence is the otherness of being”, “There is no existence, there is non-existence”. In schizoid philosophical works, the most general categories are interpreted: the world, being, spirit, matter, development, causes, effects …

Sometimes philosophical works are written in literary and artistic form. These are novels, novellas, short stories. But more often these are parables stuffed with ideas of the beginning and end of the world, infinity and eternity, moral and philosophical problems.

Here is Borges’ short story «The Immortal»: everyone was looking for the river of immortality, and when they found and became immortal, they did everything to find the river of death. Or the novel “The Rise of the Angels” by Frans: Lucifer, once cast down by God into the underworld, is preparing a new uprising of fallen angels, but sees a prophetic dream in which he, having won, becomes that inert self-satisfied God, against whom he planned a new uprising, and decides to stay forever in the underworld.

For a hysteroid, it is not philosophy itself that is important, but everything around it, communication about it. For the paranoid, philosophy is the basis and justification for his dangerous or socially beneficial activity. And philosophy itself, complex, incomprehensible, time-consuming and for the philistine majority a “worthless shadow”, an epiphenomenon, really takes possession only of the minds of schizoids.
