Schizoids have stable and permanent interests. Very few words. The inner world is almost always closed to others and filled with hobbies and fantasies that are intended only to please oneself. May occasionally show a tendency to drink alcohol, which is accompanied by a feeling of euphoria.
Leisure and hobbies
Schizoids are characterized by intellectual romanticism, they go “behind the fog and the smell of the taiga”, they take pictures there, and now they make videos, then they gather in apartments, in kitchens and chew on these natural history trips.
There are, as already mentioned, schizoids who go on hikes to get away from communication with their everyday environment. In principle, they would still prefer a joint campaign with their own kind. But getting away from the ordinary non-intellectual environment is more important for them. Sometimes they even tend to tolerate the environment of strangers and strange environments in order to pursue their favorite hobby.
In the village of Cheget, at a ski base, I met a woman ski instructor. Thin, poorly dressed, settled in one of the cheapest rooms — in the «hold», as it was called (almost in prison), she worked with beginners in the «paddling pool», so that later, freed from them, she could go downhill skiing in a solo flight from Mount Cheget.
Schizoids sing bard songs, collect audio and video recordings, and join amateur song clubs.
The schizoid never rests completely even in his free time. He is always writing something, thinking about something.
The most common hobby is collecting. It can be books, music recordings, insects, cacti, rare items. But collections are usually not expensive (this is the lot of hysteroids and paranoiacs). Sometimes they collect something very exotic: fruit seeds, poisonous herbs. Favorite sport is chess.
