Author — A.P. Egides. The book «How to understand people, or the Psychological drawing of personality»
Initially, the schizoid has many minor or more significant bodily imperfections that cause his inferiority complex. These are myopia, astigmatism, malocclusion, flat feet, bad skin, thinness, anatomical dysplasticity, dysarthria, rotten teeth, vegetative dystonia, etc.
Sleep, as already mentioned, is often inverted in schizoids: they sleep during the day, work at night. During the day, schizoids experience drowsiness: daily business life requires a lot of energy. And at night, the demands of life are minimized, and the schizoids have enough of their small energy to work hard — read, write, think. And if it is not possible to change the operating mode to the night one, then at night it is difficult to switch to wakefulness even if necessary. And if we continue the topic of “phone”, then the schizoid usually does not respond to nightly phone calls if they do not relate to work. But he also answers important calls at random — he is drowsy (unless he sits at night over texts). And if he sits, he writes, but not in order to answer calls. Then he may not take that e.u or he answers with displeasure.
The schizoid doesn’t know how to cook. If he lives in a family and is fed, then he is not too picky about food, not a gourmet, does not attach importance to how tasty it is cooked: this is not spiritual food. Delicious love hysteroids. If he is alone, then he eats dry food, and this is gastritis and an ulcer.
Schizoids drink too much and fall into chronic alcoholism. They become an inveterate drunkard both alone and in the company of intellectual drinking companions.
Of the neuroses, they are characterized by neurasthenia (lethargy, weakness, sleep disturbances, irritability, headaches) and hypochondriacal neurosis (it seems to him that he is ill with something serious, he is being checked), especially at a time when all popular scientific medical literature was crammed with statements about the dangers of onanism. Everyone was then looking for symptoms of the consequences of onanism, but schizoids — most of all. (More about this in «Labyrinths of communication» — «AST-PRESS», 2002.)
