Savoy cabbage with bacon: salad recipe. Video
Savoy cabbage is similar to white cabbage, but has a more delicate taste and a sophisticated appearance due to thin and curly leaves. And she is also a storehouse of vitamins and minerals that are useful for our body. Savoy cabbage is also ideal for making simple and light bacon salads.
Warm salad with smoked bacon
Ingredients: – 500 g of savoy cabbage; – 1 egg; – 200 g of smoked bacon; – 1 tbsp. spoon of olive oil; – 1 teaspoon of lemon juice; – 1,5 cloves of garlic.
Pour water into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Place coarsely chopped savoy cabbage in it, boil for 1 minute and drain. Place the cabbage on a flat plate. Cut the bacon into thin slices, fry in olive oil and place nicely on the cabbage. Hard boil the egg, cut into 4 pieces and place in the middle of the salad. Chop the garlic and fry for a minute in the olive oil remaining after the bacon. Pour the garlic oil over the salad and drizzle with lemon juice. Serve immediately.
To keep the Savoy cabbage bright in color after boiling water, rinse immediately with cold water.
Dijon mustard salad recipe
Ingredients: – 250 g bacon; – ½ head of savoy cabbage; – 1 tbsp. spoon of olive oil; – 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard; – salt to taste.
Chop the savoy cabbage, put it in a deep cup, add a little salt and remember with your hands so that it draws out the juice. Then place it on a flat dish. Cut the bacon into thin slices, grill or oven and place on top of the cabbage. In a separate bowl, combine the olive oil and Dijon mustard until smooth. Pour this dressing over the salad and serve.
Bright salad with oranges and herbs
Ingredients: – 1 head of savoy cabbage; – 200 g toasted bacon; – 4 green onions; – 2 oranges; – a bunch of parsley; – a bunch of basil; – 1 teaspoon of vinegar; – salt and black pepper to taste.
Peel the oranges. Cut one into small cubes and squeeze the juice from the other orange. Chop the savoy cabbage leaves coarsely and place in the salad bowl with the oranges. Add pre-fried and chopped bacon, chopped green onions, basil and parsley there. In a separate container, mix 2 tbsp. tablespoons of orange juice, vinegar and olive oil. Pour this dressing over the salad, season with salt and pepper to taste, stir lightly and serve.
Sweet pepper salad with sesame seeds
Ingredients: – ½ head of savoy cabbage; – 150 g toasted bacon; – ½ each yellow and red bell pepper; – 1 tbsp. a spoonful of soy sauce with garlic; – 1 tbsp. a spoonful of sesame seeds.
You can also add a couple of tablespoons of canned corn to this salad.
Chop the savoy cabbage coarsely and add a little salt. Add toasted bacon and chopped bell peppers. Drizzle with soy sauce, sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve.
