Salmon can be considered a real queen among other fish varieties, as it is good in any form. Moreover, there is an opinion that it is simply impossible to spoil it, it is only important to choose the right combination of ingredients in the recipe. Baked salmon is no exception.

How to bake salmon steaks

The preparation of the dish depends on whether you buy fresh salmon or frozen, whole or steaks. Frozen must be brought to room temperature and preferably in a natural way. When you defrost fish in water, it will turn out to be dry, and when using a microwave oven, there is a high risk that the bottom of the steak will begin to scald.

If the steaks were purchased in portions, then they can be laid out on a baking sheet pre-greased with vegetable oil right away. The salmon carcass will need to be cut into steaks no more than 2,5 cm thick. If the fish is too thick, it will bake more slowly. Sprinkle the steaks on top with rosemary, black pepper and salt, sprinkle with lemon juice. If the oven was preheated to 180 ° C, then it will take no more than 20 minutes to cook the fish.

Cheese can add spice to this recipe. It is enough to sprinkle the steaks with shavings a few minutes before serving the fish from the oven.

For cooking, you will need: – 4 salmon steaks; – 10 g of butter; – salt and spices for fish to taste; – 50 g of grated cheese; – 4 slices of lemon; – foil.

Salmon is rubbed with salt and spices, and then laid out on foil, previously greased with butter. A lemon wedge is placed on top of each piece, after which the foil envelope is folded so that the seam is on top. In 20 minutes in a hot oven, the fish will be ready, and it will be possible to serve it directly in envelopes by opening their top.

Instead of lemon slices, you can use lemon juice, which gives a contrast to the taste of rather oily fish.

In this recipe, the bottom of the mold is greased with vegetable oil, steaks are laid out on it, which must be salt and pepper, and half rings of onions are placed on top. It remains only to put the steaks in a mold, pour a small amount of sour cream on top of them. For baking, a temperature of 180 ° C is sufficient for 20-25 minutes.

Five minutes before turning off the oven, you can put a little cheese on top of the salmon, either in pieces or grated. Having melted, it will add additional juiciness to the fish, forming a creamy sauce in combination with sour cream. Simultaneously with the fish, cheese should not be added, otherwise, before its preparation, it will have time to bake until it is excessively dry. You can easily cook salmon using the same recipe.
