Hedgehog salad – decoration of the festive table

The Hedgehog salad is perfect for a children’s party. Children will not only like the taste, but will also delight them with its original shape. The chips in this salad play the role of thorns. To prepare this dish, you will need:

– crab sticks (240 g); – canned corn (400 g); – boiled chicken eggs (3 pcs.); – onion (1 head); – mayonnaise (200 g); – chips (1 package); – boiled potatoes (2 pcs.); – cheese (processed or hard – 100 g); – garlic (1 clove).

To make the “Hedgehog” salad more useful, sour cream mixed with balsamic vinegar can be used instead of mayonnaise. Just remember that such a dish cannot be stored. After 3-4 hours the salad will “flow”

Chop all ingredients, except for chips, cheese and garlic, grate potatoes. Add 150 g mayonnaise and stir. Form the “body” of the hedgehog. To do this, put the salad in a round bowl, crush it a little and turn it over on a flat dish. Grate cheese, mix with crushed garlic and mayonnaise. Form the “head” of the hedgehog. It is better to do this immediately on the plate, attaching the “head” to the “body”. Instead of eyes and nose, you can insert cut olives or grains of red caviar. Break the chips a little and stick them into the “torso” from above. Salad ready.

Sunflower salad – a slice of summer on a winter day

A simple and delicious Sunflower salad will delight guests at the festive table on the coldest winter day. This hearty dish is a great alternative to the traditional Mimosa. The salad recipe is as follows:

– boiled potatoes (4 pcs.); – canned pink salmon (1 can); – boiled eggs (4 pcs.); – black olives without filler (1 can); – mayonnaise; – green onions (bunch).

For the “Sunflower” salad, it is better to choose crisps in jars. They look more like petals and do not break, unlike bagged chips.

The salad is prepared in layers. First – chopped potatoes on a grater, chopped green onions on it. Top – mayonnaise. Then a layer of crushed pink salmon fork. Do not pour out the oil that was in the jar, it will make the fish softer and more tender. Chopped proteins are laid out on pink salmon. On them – a layer of mayonnaise, then – yolks. Lay the olives on the yolks so that they look like sunflower seeds. Place chips around the salad around the perimeter of the plate; they will be flower petals. If there are uncut green onions left, they can be divided into feathers and inserted between the chips. Salad ready.
