Sage essential oil: for skin, hands and nails

In women, problems with the skin of the hands and nails occur for various reasons. More often than others, there is the aggressive effect of chemicals that have to be dealt with almost daily, the negative impact of weather conditions in the absence of proper protection, and finally, improper care or complete ignorance of it. Do not wait for complications in the form of serious skin diseases; use sage oil to heal the skin of your hands and nails.

Take 0,5 liters of slightly warmed milk whey, add 1 tsp. natural honey and 5-6 drops of sage essential oil. Stir, dip your hands in the solution and hold for 15 minutes. Then rinse with warm water and brush with hand moisturizer. The application of this mask twice a week will have an excellent effect, the skin of the hands will stop peeling, and small cracks will disappear.

If the cracks on your hands are inflamed and painful, after the bath, put on your hands rye bread soaked in milk with 2-3 drops of sage oil. Keep on for 5-10 minutes, then apply any hand cream

The following bath is recommended for those who have problems with excessive dryness of the skin of the hands and uneven nails (grooves, grooves). Mix 3 drops of sage, cedar and geranium oil in a bowl, add 1 tsp. sea ​​salt and dilute everything with warm milk (about 400 ml). Keep your hands in the healing solution for 10-15 minutes, then rinse your hands with warm water and apply your favorite hand cream. You need to use such a bath daily until the dryness disappears, then you can do it once a week. By the way, this composition heals not only the skin of the hands and nails, but also the hair, so after you have held your hands in it, you can safely use it for your head.

The indication for the next bath is the skin of the hands that is prone to irritation and delamination of the nails.

A bath will help you, which contains the following ingredients:

  • sage oil – 5 drops
  • iodine 5% – 2 drops
  • natural honey – ½ tsp.
  • baking soda – ½ tsp.
  • coarse sea salt – 2 tsp
  • milk – 2 glasses

Combine and mix all the ingredients (the milk should be warm), put your hands in the solution and hold them in it for 10-15 minutes. During the procedure, you can touch the salt with your fingers, as if rubbing it into the nail plates. This will be a light massage that enhances the effect of the bath. When finished, rinse your hands with warm water and apply a moisturizer.

The oil mask is ideal for flaky hands prone to irritation. It should be applied once a week (or 1-2 times if the skin is severely inflamed and cracks appear).

Ingredients:

  • sage oil – 5-6 drops
  • olive oil – 1 tsp
  • cedar oil – ½ tsp.
  • lavender oil – 2 drops

Before going to bed, apply the oil mixture to clean skin of your hands and massage the composition from fingertips to wrists (like pulling on gloves). Put on cotton gloves. You can sleep without taking them off.

Another mask. Use it if the skin of your hands is rough, shriveled, uneven, wrinkled.

Ingredients:

  • sage oil – 4 drops
  • lemon juice – ½ tsp.
  • cottage cheese – 1 tsp.
  • protein 1 eggs
  • starch – 1 tsp

Combine and mix all ingredients until smooth. Apply to clean, steamed hands for 15–20 minutes, then rinse with warm water and lubricate with moisturizer.

This mask has a mild whitening effect. To enhance it, before applying the composition, you can make a warm bath with whey and sage oil.

Make a cream with natural ingredients right at home. In terms of effectiveness, it will be no worse than those sold in cosmetics stores.

Homemade night cream for hands and nails consists of the following ingredients:

  • sage oil – 4 drops
  • geranium oil – 2 drops
  • lavender oil – 2 drops
  • cedar oil – 2 drops
  • thick cosmetic petroleum jelly – 1 tsp

Stir all ingredients and apply every night to clean hands. For day cream for hands and nails, use the same oils, only replace petroleum jelly with natural non-fat yogurt without additives. Alternatively, add this blend of oils to your favorite hand and nail cream and enjoy it. By the way, in cosmetology, a combination of these oils is widely used in the manufacture of hand creams.
