Contraindications to the use of the drug Rytmonorm
Rytmonorm is contraindicated in patients who are allergic to propafenone or any other ingredient of the drug. Rytmonorm should also not be taken by patients suffering from heart failure, myasthenia gravis, severe obstructive pulmonary disease, electrolyte disturbances or low blood pressure.
Rytmonorm is not indicated if the patient is taking concomitant antiarrhythmic drugs, tricyclic antidepressants, betablockers, digoxin, quinidine, local anesthetics or oral anticoagulants. Rytonorm may intensify or weaken the effect of these drugs, so the doctor should be informed about their use. The doctor should also know about all other medications used by the patient at a given time, including those that can be obtained without a prescription.
Rytmonorm is not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women. This medicine should only be used in such cases if the possible benefits to the mother’s health outweigh the possible risks to the fetus.
How is Rytmonorm used?
Rytmonorm is taken orally. The frequency of use and the dose of the drug should be determined by the physician on a case-by-case basis. Rytmonorm tablets should be swallowed whole (do not chew them), washed down with a sufficient amount of water. Rytmonorm can be taken with or without food.

Side effects of Rytmonorm
Rytonorm can cause digestive disorders such as loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, stomach fullness, constipation, dry mouth, bitter taste in the mouth, abnormal sensation in the mouth, visual disturbances, dizziness, slow heart rate, low blood pressure or hypotension, pressure drops when standing up, tiredness and weakness, confusion, nightmares and other sleep disturbances.
In the event of any of the side effects listed above, the use of Rytmonorm should be notified to your doctor, who may consider changing the drug to another preparation.
Precautions when using Rytmonorm
Rytmonorm should not be used after the expiry date stated on the package. The preparation should be stored at room temperature, in a tightly closed container, out of the sight and reach of children.
Due to possible side effects of the drug (dizziness, visual disturbances), Rytmonorm has a negative influence on the ability to drive vehicles and operate machines. Patients undergoing treatment with this drug should not perform these activities.
