Rutinoscorbin Plus is a combined preparation containing a drug that protects the capillary wall, vitamin and trace elements.

Rutinoscorbin Plus – indications and dosage

Rutinoscorbin Plus is a preparation recommended for taking:

  1. in states of vitamin deficiency C, rutin, zinc and selenium,
  2. preventive colds,
  3. as a support for the body’s immunity,
  4. as sealing and preventing the brittleness of capillaries.

Dosage Rutinoscorbin Plus

Rutinoscorbin Plus is in the form of tablets to be taken by mouth. Do not exceed the recommended dose of the preparation as it may pose a threat to your life or health.

  1. Adults and adolescents from the age of 12. Orally, during a meal (if the meal contains milk or its products – 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal).
  2. Prophylactically 1-2 tablets / day; in states of deficiency, 1-2 tablets. 2-4 × / d.

Rutinoscorbin Plus and contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug is a contraindication to the use of Rutinoscorbin Plus.

Rutinoscorbin Plus – warnings

  1. Patients with urolithiasis or a tendency to form mineral deposits in the urinary system, with excessive excretion of oxalic acid in the urine, gout, cystinuria, as well as in conditions of hypokalemia and hypercalcemia should not take high doses of vitamin C (above 1 g per day).
  2. Vitamin C in combination with sulfonamides can cause sulfonamide crystals to precipitate in the urine.
  3. The use of vitamin C in therapeutic doses may affect the results of laboratory tests (false-negative results for occult blood in the feces, false-positive results for the presence of glucose in urine).
  4. You should take Rutinoscorbin Plus 1 hour before or 2 hours after consuming milk or milk products as dairy products can reduce the absorption of selenium and zinc ions.
  5. People with hereditary problems of galactose or fructose intolerance, the lactase deficiency or malabsorption of glucose-galactose or the sucrase-isomaltase deficiency should not take Rutinoscorbin Plus.
  6. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before taking the drug. There is no information on the safety of taking the drug (containing ascorbic acid, rutoside, zinc and selenium) during this period.
  7. It is not recommended to use doses of ascorbic acid in excess of the daily requirement (80 mg per day) during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Rutinoscorbin Plus with other medications

Vitamin C contained in Rutinoscorbin Plus may increase the effects of drugs:

  1. anticoagulants (coumarin derivatives),
  2. paracetamol,
  3. may increase iron absorption, intensify the undesirable effects of acetylsalicylic acid.
  4. Ascorbic acid used in therapeutic doses may cause false-negative blood tests in the stool and false-positive results of tests for glucose in the urine.
  5. Ascorbic acid can modify the action of deferoxamine, disulfiram, tricyclic antidepressants, drugs with acidic properties; When using the above-mentioned drugs, consult your doctor.

Rutinoscorbin Plus – side effects

The use of high doses of vitamin C (over 600 mg per day) contained in Rutinoscorbin Plus may cause:

  1. diarrhea
  2. nausea,
  3. vomiting,
  4. heartburn
  5. hypersensitivity reactions (skin rash),
  6. doses above 1 g per day may lead to the development of kidney stones.
