Ruskorex

Ruskorex – a preparation used for the symptoms of pain and itching around the anus, inflammation of the rectal mucosa, thrombosis of the haemorrhoids and as a complementary treatment after surgical procedures for perianal fistulas and haemorrhoids.

ACTION

Ruskorex is a combined preparation that contains a local anesthetic and a substance that reduces the permeability of blood vessels. Thanks to topical application, it soothes hemorrhoids.

Ruskorex – indications and dosage

Ruskorex is a preparation taken to alleviate and treat:

  1. pain and itching around the anus,
  2. inflammation of the rectal mucosa,
  3. thrombotic inflammation of the hemorrhoids,
  4. supplementary treatment after perianal fistulas and haemorrhoids.

Dosage

Ruskorex is in the form of an ointment (applied topically) or rectal suppositories. The drug should be used as intended and the recommended daily dose should not be exceeded, as it may endanger your life or health.

Adults:

  1. suppositories: 1 suppository rectally 1-2 × / day. It should be used after defecation.

Ointment:

  1. externally to the anus 2-3 times / day.

The treatment should not be used for more than two weeks.

Ruskorex and anti-aspiration

The contraindication to use is:

  1. allergy to any component of the drug.

Ruskorex – warnings

  1. Patients who experience worsening pain or itching during use should discontinue the preparation.
  2. People with cardiovascular disorders or hypertension should exercise caution.
  3. There is no information or research on taking the preparation during pregnancy and breastfeeding, so consult your doctor before using it.
  4. Contained in the pre-treatment (ointment): cetyl alcohol and propylene glycol may cause skin irritation.
  5. There is no information on the effect of the drug on the ability to drive.

Ruskorex with other drugs

Ruskorex can:

  1. intensify the effect of antiarrhythmic drugs and weaken the effect of sulfonamides,
  2. drugs belonging to the group of calcium channel blockers may reduce the effect of ruscogenins.

Ruskorex – side effects

At the beginning of using Ruskorex, the following may occur:

  1. burning around the anus,
  2. passing rare stools (rarely).
