Like any other product, the consumption of rowan fruits should be moderate.

Planting and caring for mountain ash

In order to decorate your site with trees of culture, it is important to consider the basic recommendations for planting and care.

  1. Choose only undamaged seedlings with intact, not dried out roots that are no more than 1-2 years old. When moving into open ground, do not expose the root system if you have purchased a seedling with a clod of earth.
  2. Try to plant trees in early fall, in a well-lit area.
  3. The most suitable soil for wood is clay and sand. When preparing the planting holes, do not neglect the creation of drainage.
  4. The optimum distance between plants is 5-6 meters.
  5. Planting is carried out in moist soil, it is recommended to add humus, ash or compost to the ground.
  6. After the roots are covered with earth, it is important to compact the surface tightly around the trunk.

In order for the mountain ash to grow strong and strong, it is necessary to water it about once every 3 weeks. Experts do not advise to get carried away with feeding in the first few years of growth, the only fertilizer that will benefit the mountain ash is nitrogen. It is also important to loosen the soil in which the tree grows.

By winter, the culture is insulated with burlap and the first snow that has fallen; whitewashing the trunk would be a good solution – thereby the tree will be protected from sunburn.

If you follow all of the above recommendations and rules, the seedling will turn into a healthy and branched tree, with clusters of bright, attractive fruits.
