Properties of rosemary oil
Rosemary oil is obtained from the leaves and flowers of the spicy-aromatic plant of the same name, specially treated with steam. It has a pleasant cool aroma, which many describe as mint-balsamic. Traditionally, rosemary and rosemary oil are used to combat renal colic, painful menstruation, and various respiratory diseases. Rosemary oil has tonic, stimulating, tonic, antioxidant, antimicrobial, astringent and analgesic properties. As a result of several independent studies, rosemary oil has been proven to be effective in combating alopecia areata. For people with dry scalp, rosemary oil can help eliminate dandruff.
Blondes with light blond hair should remember that rosemary oil makes hair darker with prolonged use. This property is used in the fight against gray hair.
What makes rosemary oil good for hair
The beneficial effects of rosemary oil on hair are due to the fact that it stimulates cell division and dilates the blood vessels on the scalp, thereby stimulating hair follicles and promoting hair growth. Thanks to its antimicrobial properties, the oil also kills bacteria on the scalp that can clog hair follicles.
The oil’s disinfecting properties make it effective against seborrhea, while the nourishing properties help moisturize dry scalp and prevent dandruff.
By saturating the hair, the oil makes it heavy and shiny, silky and manageable, working as a natural conditioner. Since the oil has a somewhat watery consistency, it does not clog the pores in the scalp.
