- grafting.

For cuttings, young shoots are used, which are cut from the mother bush and divided into parts 10 cm long. At the same time, at least 2-3 buds should be located on each workpiece.
Above the upper kidney, the cut is made straight, and under the lower kidney – at an angle. Then the cuttings are dipped into a solution of growth stimulants for a day, after which they are transferred to the prepared substrate. Cover with a film and leave for six months (during this time, they must ventilate and water the stalk so that it takes root). After rooting, you can land in open ground, the best time for this is mid-spring or early autumn.
Grafting the Lady Emma Hamilton rose is performed in summer or autumn. For this, cuttings are also prepared. On the root neck of the plant, a T-shaped cut is made and wiped. Then a kidney is cut off on the handle with a part of the bark under it. The workpiece is connected with the stock, fixed with a film and sprinkled with earth.
Cultivation and care
Lady Emma Hamilton rose seedlings are recommended to be planted in a permanent place, given that the delicate petals are afraid of direct sunlight. Therefore, the site should be selected in partial shade. It is also desirable to give preference to an elevated place to prevent stagnant water.
The planting hole must be at least 60 cm in diameter and with the same depth. At the same time, a drainage layer of 10 cm must be provided. The seedling itself is placed in the center of the pit and sprinkled with fertile soil. Lightly rammed and watered abundantly.
As a follow-up care for this rose, the most standard actions are necessary:
- timely watering;
- loosening and removal of weeds;
- top dressing;
- pruning;
- winter preparation.
Watering the Lady Emma Hamilton rose should be at least 1 time in 10 days. This procedure is carried out in the early morning or in the evening. Water is used warm and settled. And after watering, the soil in the root zone is loosened, if possible, removing all weeds.
It is necessary to enrich the soil for roses 2-3 times per season. Mandatory is spring and summer top dressing. In the autumn, you can not do it. In early spring, the plant needs nitrogen and organic fertilizers, and during the summer the bush can be fed with potassium-phosphorus compounds.
Pruning has an important role for Lady Emma Hamilton roses, as this procedure allows you to form a beautiful crown, and also contribute to abundant flowering. In the spring, the bush is freed from extinct, dry and damaged branches, and in the fall – from faded buds. In this case, pruning is carried out no more than 1/3 of the branch.
Despite the resistance to low temperatures, experienced gardeners still recommend warming the Lady Emma Hamilton rose for the winter. To do this, the base of the bush is sprinkled with peat or earth, and then it is covered with non-woven material or spruce branches.
