PSYchology

In psychotherapeutic practice, for pronouncing resentment (as well as anger, sadness, disappointment and guilt), the Rondo exercise is used. Rondo is a piece of music or dance in which a theme is repeated over and over again in different variations. The exercise is conducted by the facilitator (F) and the client (C). So, if the goal is to work through the resentment, F asks C: «What are you offended by?» and waiting for any response. There are no «bad» or «good» answers. There’s an answer. For any answer, F has “Thank you” and a repetition of the same question: “What are you offended by?” and so on until K is empty. After the devastation, that is, when K’s resentment is neutralized, has disappeared, F asks the following question: «How do you feel now?» — and the process continues in the same direction. So you can work through and neutralize any emotion.
