Unfortunately, the drug is not free from side effects that can significantly impair the ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery. When using Rivaldo, always follow the instructions of your doctor carefully and do not take the drug on your own.
Rivaldo is a medicine of the carbamate family that is used to treat symptomatic treatment of some forms of Alzheimer’s dementia and dementia in people with idiopathic Parkinson’s disease. Rivaldo has a positive effect on the cognitive abilities of people with these diseases. What should you pay attention to before using Rivaldo?
Rivaldo – composition
Rivaldo is a drug from the group of carbamates. Its composition includes an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor.
Rivaldo – indications
Rivaldo is a medicine used to treat the symptoms of mild to moderate dementia (such as Alzheimer’s) or in patients with idiopathic Parkinson’s disease.
Rivaldo – dosage
Rivaldo is taken by mouth. Both the amount and the number of doses per day are always determined by the doctor. Rivaldo capsules should be swallowed whole with a meal. The safety of use is guaranteed by compliance with the doctor’s instructions.
Before taking the first tablet, always read the leaflet carefully to familiarize yourself with the properties of the drug. Be sure to check the expiry date on the label to avoid taking the drug after the expiration date. Rivaldo should be stored out of the reach of children and in conditions required by the manufacturer.
Rivaldo should always be used according to the doctor’s instructions and only for the reasons indicated by the doctor. Do not take the drug without consulting your doctor.
Rivaldo – precautions
Certain precautions should be taken when using Rivaldo. A contraindication to the use of Rivaldo is primarily hypersensitivity to any component of the drug. Do not take Rivaldo in case of liver disease, bronchial asthma, obstruction of the intestines, urinary or biliary tract, urination disorders, heart disease, and gastric and duodenal ulcers.
In the interview, you should also inform your doctor about the use of drugs with a similar effect and any preparation that we take, even about over-the-counter drugs. Rivaldo may interact with them.
You should also inform your doctor that you are taking Rivaldo before performing any surgery with general anesthesia. It is worth remembering that Rivaldo may intensify the effects of the measures given.
During pregnancy, Rivaldo should only be used when absolutely necessary. The preparation should not be used during breastfeeding.
Rivaldo – side effects
The most common side effects are dizziness, vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, and anorexia. It may also appear, for example agitation, headaches, indigestion, fatigue and a decrease in well-being, or weight loss.
Occurring dizziness and somnolence may affect driving and operating machinery. It should also be borne in mind that Alzheimer’s disease itself greatly impairs the ability to perform these activities. For this reason, making such a diagnosis means that patients are not recommended to drive cars or operate complex machines.
