Ribomunyl

Ribomunyl is an oral bacterial preparation with immunostimulating properties. It is used in the case of recurrent infections: ears, bronchi, lungs, nose and throat in children and adults after 3 years of age. The drug contains bacterial ribosomes that stimulate immunocompetent cells in Peyer’s patches. Ribomunyl is in the form of tablets and is available on prescription.

Ribomunyl – indications for use and dosage

Ribomunyl is a drug that is used in children and adults after 3 years of age to treat recurrent infections:

  1. potty,
  2. throat
  3. spit,
  4. bronchitis,
  5. ears.

Dosage

Ribomunyl can be tablets or granules for oral solution. You should only take it orally and do not exceed the recommended daily doses as it may harm your life or health.

  1. w1. month of treatment 1 tablet. or sachet 1x / day, 4 consecutive days a week, for 3 weeks;
  2. in the following 2-5 months, 1 tablet or sachet once a day for 1 consecutive days of each month.

Ribomunyl and contraindications

Contraindications to taking Ribomunyl are:

  1. allergy to any ingredient of the preparation,
  2. autoimmune diseases,
  3. it is not recommended to take the preparation during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Ribomunyl with other drugs

There are no data on the use of Rimomunyl with other preparations. However, you should inform your doctor about all medications you are taking, even those obtained without a prescription.

Ribomunyl – warnings

  1. Patients who develop an asthmatic state while taking the drug or develop a high (without previous symptoms) fever of over 39 degrees Celsius, should discontinue the treatment.
  2. People with hereditary fructose intolerance should not use the preparation.
  3. The sorbitol contained in the drug may have a laxative effect.

Ribomunyl – side effects

During treatment with Ribomunyl

  1. rarely the following may occur: development of an isolated, inexplicable and rapidly appearing high fever, inflammation of the pharynx, sinus and bronchitis, cough, asthmatic state, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, skin allergic reactions (rash, itching, urticaria), temporary increase salivation at the start of treatment.
