Plastic surgery in its modern sense has existed for about a century. It was then that antiseptic agents were developed, which made it possible to perform operations. In 2017, the most popular plastic surgery was nose reshaping. In fact, this procedure was in vogue back in the 30s of the last century, then all the girls walked with neat and upturned noses in the style of Marilyn Monroe.
How long it took to change the shape of the nose in the last century and how exactly this happened is unknown, but now a fashionable procedure is done in just an hour and a half, only it costs from 140 thousand rubles.

However, with the right approach, a certain anatomical deformation of the patient and the experience of the surgeon, the result will be equally good, ”comments Andrey Vygovsky, plastic surgeon at the Institute of Plastic Surgery and Cosmetology.
Open approach involves an incision of the skin part of the nasal septum, approximately 5 mm. This method provides complete visualization of the nasal structure, so the surgeon can do all the necessary manipulations with incredible accuracy. This is the approach that our expert uses every day.

Closed approach consists in surgical interventions through incisions in the nostrils. This is suitable for patients with isolated hump deformities of the nasal dorsum or where there is minimal change in the tip structure that needs to be corrected.
The most difficult type of rhinoplasty is changing the tip of the nose.
The main types of rhinoplasty
Correction of the tip of the nose. Excessive tissue volume or thickened cartilage can make the tip of the nose out of proportion. It can be too long, twisted, too flat. All deviations from the norm violate the proportion of the whole face. That is why many girls decide on this operation.
Correction of the wings of the nose. The wings and nostrils can also vary in shape and size. If the wings of the nose are thickened or are located too far from each other, then this immediately catches the eye, interfering with the perception of appearance as a whole.
Correction of the nose. Correction of a curvature of the nose, which can be either congenital or acquired. The nose is crooked if both the septum and the outer fornix (root) are deviated from the midline.
Revision rhinoplasty. If rhinoplasty was performed correctly, then the desired effect lasts for life. But it happens when inexperienced surgeons make mistakes and serious complications appear. It is at this moment that you will have to ask for help again, but it is better to go to another specialist.
Reduction of the nose. It is necessary if the nose is too massive, wide, long.
Rhinoplasty can be performed after the patient reaches the age of 17, when the facial skeleton completes its formation.
The operation is performed under general anesthesia in combination with local anesthesia, so the patient must undergo a complete clinical and laboratory examination.
After rhinoplasty, as well as after any surgical intervention, early postoperative complications are possible.
The dressing is done the next day after the operation. The minimum hospital stay is 2-3 days, then the patient can be discharged for outpatient treatment.
“First of all, you need to understand and feel what the patient wants. If there is a sense of the reality of the embodiment of his idea, he should be immersed in the field of rehabilitation in order to correctly and honestly set it up. After the operation, he is waiting for the formation of the final shape of the nose – rhinoshaping, which involves a set of measures for the correct healing of the nose (attending physiotherapy, constant wearing of a splint, both internal and external). It is important to prepare the patient that the result will not appear immediately after the operation.
The shape of the nose is manifested and formed not so much on the operating table, but as a result of the joint efforts of the doctor and the patient to maintain the achieved positive and eliminate unwanted negativity, ”explains Andrey Vyhovsky.
