Rhinestones on the nails: learning to glue. Video
“Well-groomed hands – well-groomed woman” – this slogan of the American advertising campaign during the sexual revolution has not lost its relevance today. Today, the usual edged manicure has been supplemented with such types of nail care as strengthening and building, decorating with enamels and, of course, rhinestones.
We glue rhinestones on nails
Rhinestones are beautiful decorative stones with a cut-off edge, which are attached to the nail plate with the help of special glue or varnish. Rhinestones can be glued not only to the artificial nail. With good glue and a certain skill, they will adhere perfectly to a natural plate. It is not recommended to glue crystals on the edge of the nail: they fall into the stress zone, making the nail heavier. Therefore, it is better to use sparkles there.
To work with rhinestones you will need:
- crystals
- wooden stick or thin brush
- glue
- varnish and fixing compound
First of all, get your manicure done. There is nothing more vulgar than painted, untreated nails. Apply a layer of base varnish (base) to the nail plate. Draw a drawing if it is assumed that rhinestones are not an independent decoration, but its addition. Until the base and drawing are dry, wet the tip of the stick and pick up the rhinestone with it. A light pebble will stick to a wet stick, and it will be easier for you to place it in the right place.
So that the rhinestones on the nails do not cling to the hair and threads on clothes, while gluing them, make sure that the glue is evenly distributed around the edges.
Place the crystals on the nail and gently press them against the plate. Try not to move a single pebble, otherwise you will have to redo the entire pattern on the plate. Take your time, let the base grab. Wait a minute and only then apply the fixing compound.
Crystals look luxurious on artificial nails. The technology for attaching rhinestones to tips is not much different from gluing to natural nails, except that in this case it is recommended to use not a base varnish, but a special glue as a fixer.
Glue tips or shape your nails, apply a layer of gel and cure in a UV lamp. Use a file to remove excess material and shape the nails. Cover the cuts with a base varnish or a thin layer of gel. Apply the drawing if you are making a French ultra-white gel.
Drop glue on the crystal’s installation site. As a rule, adhesives are sold in tubes with dispensers and needles, they are easy to make small droplets in the size of rhinestones. If you purchased professional material without a dispenser, use a thin brush, but you will have to discard it later.
Place a stone in a drop of glue. The glue should not go beyond its edges, if there is a drip, collect with a brush so as not to spoil the design. After placing all the rhinestones, cover the nail with the finishing compound and dry in the lamp, so the rhinestones will last for a long time.
