History of Gin Greenalls
The drink was created in 1761 by entrepreneur Thomas Dakin, who lived in the city of Warrington, in the north-west of England. Without hesitation, Dakin gave his creation the name Dakin’s Warrington Gin.

However, after the death of the brand’s founder’s son, the family distillery was first rented and then acquired by the Greenall family of successful Lancashire brewers, who own it to this day.
The new owners renamed the Teikin drink in their honor, but at the same time they completely retained both the original composition and the technology for making gin. In particular, according to the brand owners, the composition of the drink includes: Tuscan juniper berries, Moroccan coriander seeds and Spanish lemon peel. Also in it are guessed: almonds, basil, angelica root, cassia bark and, possibly, lavender, licorice and honeysuckle.
By the way, it is interesting that another of Teikin’s authentic recipes formed the basis of the famous Bombay sapphire.
