A sad story is now developing in Moscow. Ilya Esterov, a businessman and a well-known restaurateur in secular circles, faces a real prison term due to neglect of safety rules during a pandemic.

In early March, the man went skiing with his wife Yana in Courchevel. Recall that it was from this French resort that many infected Russians arrived in the capital.

Soon after returning to his homeland, Ilya felt unwell. The restaurateur complained of high fever and cough, so his wife decided to call his doctor at home.

Therapist Victoria Savchenkova has arrived in the near Moscow region. After the examination, the doctor consulted with colleagues and came to the conclusion that Esterova should be hospitalized. However, the man refused to go to the hospital.

“He denied for almost five hours, did not want to go. Savchenkova sat with him at his house and persuaded him. As a result, he was nevertheless taken to Kommunarka, smears were taken for the virus, ”an anonymous source told Life.

Soon, Esterov’s COVID-19 was confirmed. A few days later, Victoria also felt unwell. The physician was not saved by the protective uniform in which she was at a long meeting with the restaurateur – the coronavirus was also found in her.

Already after a while, lying in a hospital with a dangerous infection, Savchenkova found Esterov and his wife on social networks and learned that at the height of the pandemic they were in Europe. The woman told with horror about this on her blog on Instagram, and also clarified that the whole family of the restaurateur eventually fell ill with coronavirus.

Victoria said that before her visit, Ilya had already turned to another therapist and the ambulance team, probably still hiding that he was in a dangerous region.

Now the businessman and his wife have closed their pages on social networks and refuse to comment on what happened. Judging by the new laws, for hiding information about movements and the subsequent infection of a doctor, a man faces a fine of up to 700 thousand rubles, correctional labor, or a prison term of up to 2 years. However, the main thing in this situation is for everyone to remain alive and to be able to cope with the infection.
