Having a dog in the family is wonderful because these pets are characterized by being cheerful, tender, playful, as well as taking care of us and being faithful companions.

However, for many years we could not take them with us for a walk to certain places, however, this has already changed and there are currently many restaurants that are prepared to receive and serve them.

“Pet friendly” restaurants, or “pet friendly”, are those places that are adapted to welcome the dog companions of the diners.

It is said that it was in Belgium where the first restaurant that allowed the entry of dogs was born. This idea arose thanks to the fact that the owner of the place is an animal lover and he realized that the owners and their pets did not have the possibility of entering any premises to rest and have a snack while they recovered from the walk.

This action became the first step to give rise to a new concept of inclusion, where pets already enjoy a well deserved place.

In Spain, one of the restaurants that adopted this new business philosophy is located in Torrejón de Ardoz, a town in the Community of Madrid. Do Dog Friendly restaurants represent any inconvenience to health?

European laws establish that dogs must be kept away from places where food is handled, prepared or stored, which is why it is interpreted that canines cannot be in restaurant kitchens, as they could represent an inconvenience at the level of health. However, their presence in the dining rooms does not constitute a risk.

Also, the preparation of doggy dishes should not be a reason for unhealthyness for the restaurant. Because in these places exclusive kitchen utensils are used for such purposes and also the food products used in the preparation of their meals are of the highest quality.
