Restaurants Against Hunger 2018
The NGO Action Against Hunger has launched its solidarity initiative for the ninth time
This September 15 Registration has begun for this new edition of the solidarity event of Restaurants against Hunger, and will remain for two months until the event closes on November 15.
For now, the list of subscribers has been inaugurated with overwhelming success, with more than 1200 restaurants already participating.
The focus of the campaign and the way of exposing it by the hoteliers will be similar to those of previous editions of restaurants against hunger
The participating hoteliers, form a pineapple around to combat child malnutrition, and will offer in their establishments:
- Solidarity menus
- Solidarity dishes from your menu.
For each diner who consumes any of them, between 50 cents and two euros will be donated. (as the establishment chooses) In addition, the clients of the premises will also have the possibility of making donations on site through piggy banks placed in the restaurants, bars or cafeterias.
From the first edition in 2010 to date, has managed to raise more than one million euros, being able to provide treatments to more than 2 million children with malnutrition. In short, before aid reached 1 in 10 children, and after almost a decade, that gap has been reduced by half: they can reach 1 in 5 children.
As his own organization says, the cuisine of our country is a great engine of the social movement:

Three godfathers of high stoves
The chefss Quique Dacosta, Albert Adrià and José Carlos García. they endorse the new edition and act as a speaker to be able to break participation records and therefore donations.
Last week, at the ”Espacio Platea” in Madrid, Dacosta, He presented the solidarity days, joining the movement as a sponsor and as a restorer, delighted to be part of it, and clearly committed to the cause as his words show:
“A cook lives by feeding people and, today, we are in death figures due to child malnutrition that cannot be allowed. For this reason, among other things, I am part of this initiative and I hope and encourage my colleagues to join it ”.
Now it is up to the rest of the participant, cooks, clients and institutions to make a move, to become the first generation that can end hunger in the world, as well as the Valencian chef on the day of the presentation.
