Removal of wen Fat: causes, Fat under the skin, How to get rid of wen

Having found wen under the skin, many often begin to associate them with cancer. We will tell you what are the causes of the appearance of wen and how to get rid of them.

We hasten to reassure you – the causes of the appearance of wen have nothing to do with cancer. That is, a wen, or, as it is called in medicine, a lipoma, of course, is a tumor, but a benign one. A fatty tissue is an accumulation of fat that is separated from the surrounding tissue by a thin membrane. Fats can be large or small and can form anywhere on the body where subcutaneous fat is present. Of course, the appearance of wen can scare anyone who first discovers them on their body, because “if something incomprehensible sticks out on the skin, it must be something bad.” No, they shouldn’t.

The causes of the appearance of wen are not reliably known until now. It is believed that the tendency to their occurrence in humans is of a genetic nature and is inherited. In rare cases, the occurrence of a wen can be triggered by trauma, however, a causal relationship between these two factors has not been established. It should be noted that there is no evidence to support the theory that fatty acids can transform into liposarcomas, the malignant cousins of lipomas. Also, there is no evidence that the use of any foodstuffs causes the occurrence of a wen. Fats are most common in middle age, both in men and women. Men are more likely to have several wen at once, but in general, wen do not discriminate against you and me on the basis of gender.

How do the wen hinder us? Of course, the biggest complaint about the wen is its appearance. Most of us, especially women, are very upset when at least one wen appears in a prominent place. But there are more serious problems. For example, if a wen is located very close to a joint, it can interfere with its normal movement. If the fat is close to the nerve, it can put pressure on the nerve and cause pain. However, rarely when a wen is in a place in which it really creates difficulties for the functioning of one or another organ.

Fats under the skin

Contrary to popular belief, fatty tissue under the skin does not form with obesity, and the tendency to be overweight is not necessarily the cause of the development of fatty tissue. High cholesterol levels and lack of exercise are probably indirectly related to the appearance of fat under the skin, but this link has not been proven by clinical studies.

Fats under the skin usually appear as small lumps. They are soft to the touch and usually do not hurt to touch. An enlarged wen under the skin can only cause pain if it is located next to a nerve or blood vessel. In such cases, they turn red and irritate even from the slightest touch.

A doctor can diagnose wines under the skin with a simple physical exam or biopsy, where a tissue sample is checked in a laboratory. Fats, which are located deeper, hidden in the muscles, can be diagnosed using ultrasound or MRI.

How to get rid of wen

The presence of wen on the body can be ignored for the time being. But there are certain circumstances that you need to pay special attention to, even if we are talking about such a benign tumor as a wen. If the wen becomes painful or too sensitive, suddenly begins to increase in size, this is a reason to think about how to get rid of it. This is especially true for festering or smelling wen, through which an infection can enter the body, or those that interfere with the functioning of any organs.

How to get rid of wen? There is no magic way. Diet, vitamins, herbs, exposure to heat or cold on the wen, special creams – none of this will make the wen disappear with one hundred percent probability. The only way to get rid of the wen is to remove it, and the only way to remove it is through local surgery. This is a simple outpatient procedure and requires only local anesthesia. In very rare cases, if the wen is large enough or is located in an uncomfortable place, the operation to get rid of the wen will require general anesthesia.

So, as soon as you understand that a wen gives you discomfort and started thinking about how to get rid of a wen, visit a doctor. Depending on the size and location of the wen, the doctor may suggest leaving everything as it is, because wen are not malignant tumors and rarely cause pain. On the contrary, removing the wen will almost certainly leave a small scar on the skin. For most people, if there are wen on the skin, then, then, a little, one or two, and, as a rule, are located in a place invisible to others, therefore, it is not necessary to remove them for no particular reason.

It is necessary to get rid of the wen if it begins to grow and go deeper under the skin. In some cases, most often this happens to men, the wen begins to grow deep into the muscle tissue, which seriously complicates its removal. Moreover, one person may have several wen, and there are people who have hundreds of wen all over the body, some of them cause pain when they act on nearby nerves, muscles and even bones. And certain types of wen can grow, capturing internal organs.

There are two main ways to get rid of wen. For small wen, liposuction is often used because it leaves far fewer scars. But liposuction rarely removes the entire tumor, and sometimes the wen tends to grow back. The second method is surgical removal. An experienced surgeon will remove all traces of adipose tissue along with its membrane, as a result of which the wen will have much less chance of regrowth. However, the scars left after surgical removal will be much more noticeable.
