Religions explained to children
Whether your child is Catholic, Jewish, Muslim or an atheist, talking to him about the great beliefs that surround him will help him understand the differences and will be a tremendous openness to the outside world for him. To tell him about it, children’s books are, once again, formidable tools.
There is no age (or almost!) To talk about religion, only, it is not always so obvious … Often, we believe we know when in the end we do not really know. Some “embroider” in the hope of providing a satisfactory answer to their children; others, more informed, talk about it willingly but have a hard time capturing young attentions.
Fortunately, nothing is lost! With children’s books, specially designed to introduce them to the great religions of the world, the task becomes easier. Open-mindedness guaranteed!
Playful …
In the street, in stores, at school … beliefs come together, and that’s good! Faced with this reality, some authors have understood the need to help children better understand the world around them, why some women wear a veil, some men a skullcap, why others do not eat like them, what is the difference between a church, a mosque and a synagogue …
By focusing on the playful side, the works take on a whole new dimension, becoming more accessible and more captivating. With books to animate, drawings to look at, games, quizzes … initiation into religions is done in joy and good humor.

… and more seriously, but still very accessible
As children grow older, they become more attached to the highlights, dates and particularities of a particular religious practice.
Without necessarily going into the smallest details of the subject (which could unnecessarily complicate things), it is possible to give them the answers they expect by relying on well-balanced books in illustrations, with simple texts that make you want to be read, all for a better understanding …
It is also a way of giving them – at their level – a more “concrete” representation of the different beliefs to help them, then, to more easily transpose their readings to reality.
