During the massage, the client is most often in a lying position, less often in a sitting position. Relaxing massage uses a lot of classic massage techniques, uses the entire spectrum of movements: compressing, kneading, stroking and rubbing. However, more abrupt techniques such as transverse rubbing and the like are not used.

Relaxation massages and their techniques have a common denominator, although they can be radically different. If we feel that stress is taking its toll, we feel muscular and mental tension and we need at least a substitute for relaxation, we can choose from a whole range of different types relaxing massage, and among them we will find:

  1. classic massage – the relaxing version of this massage is simply devoid of sudden movements and strong pressure. It is carried out on the entire body or at selected points.   4. aromatherapy massage – a massage in which the smell that spreads on the body with the use of essential oils plays a huge role. Of course, as each of us has different preferences, such an oil is selected for the patient. The most common are mango, lavender, jasmine or orange oils. Essential oils not only smell nice, but also have a health-promoting effect on the skin and our interior;
  5. chocolate massage – a procedure in which chocolate cream and chocolate massage oil are used. The chocolate massage technique contains elements of classic massage. The cocoa scent around us improves our mood, activating the production of endorphins. The flavonoids contained in the cream have a beneficial effect on the skin, leaving it smooth and neutralizing the effects of free radicals in the body;
  6. massage for pregnant women – although massage is usually not used in pregnant women, a procedure was created that they can also take. This massage is designed to reduce the load on the lumbosacral and cervical sections. The technique of the treatment is a gentle pressure that improves lymph circulation and relaxes the muscles.

Relaxing massage: indications and contraindications
