Relative, absolute and mixed references in Excel

One of the main functions of Excel is working with formulas that can contain both specific numeric values ​​and links to other table cells. The links can be either relative or absolute. In this article we will understand what their differences are and what they are for.

Relative link – a link in which the cell coordinates change when the formula is copied to another cell.

Absolute link – a link in which the cell coordinates are fixed and do not change when copied.
