- Evaporator heater. The defrost system works in such a way that the heater helps to thaw the frost after cooling. Moisture drops flow into the drainage hole and are removed from the system. But when the heater breaks, snow and ice freeze on the evaporator, the back wall of the chamber, and the fan. The heater needs to be replaced.
- Freezer controller. In this case, the walls of the freezer are covered with snow, the temperature becomes lower than the set one. This is because the module “thinks” the temperature is insufficient, so all the cold goes to the freezer.
- Coolant leak. To resume work, you need to call the master, who will eliminate the leak and refuel the system with gas.
- Temperature controller or air sensor in the upper chamber. After the freezer has cooled down, it will not switch to the refrigerator compartment. Defective items are replaced.
Freezer not freezing
Since we look into the freezer less often, we do not immediately find a breakdown. Why does the freezer compartment fail:
- The freezer motor is broken. You may notice that it tries to start for a few seconds, then stalls. Since the refrigeration department has its own motor, cooling is normal there. A new part needs to be installed.
- If the freezer does not work, there are no additional symptoms, the cause is probably in the control module. The control board is being replaced or flashed.
It could also be a breakdown of the thermostat or air sensor. They do not send signals to the board, so there is no cooling. When the refrigerant comes out, you will not always be able to determine the problem, so it is better to contact a specialist.
In case of malfunction F5
A similar code is displayed during an increase in voltage in the network. To verify this, look at the instructions and check what voltage is considered normal for your model. You can measure the voltage level with a voltmeter.
