We always prepare puff salads in all their variety for the New Year. Hearty, elegant and so delicious, they are a special success. Each hostess has proven recipes with which she pleases guests from year to year.  But sooner or later, even they get bored. And then you want something new and unusual. Rice, shrimp and citrus fruits

Bulgur is combined with 1 tbsp. l. sour cream, spread on the bottom of a transparent bowl. Add the diced egg on top. The next layer is smoked chicken, lubricate with a layer of sour cream. We spread cucumber cubes, carrots, a little sour cream on top. We finish the salad with grated cheese.

Tuna in placers of quinoa

Do you prefer salads with canned fish? Try the original recipe with tuna and quinoa “National”. It tastes like unprocessed rice and organically combines with fish. It is noteworthy that the color of cereals is white, and there is more protein in it than in other cereals. And quinoa is also rich in fiber, complex carbohydrates and folic acid. So the salad will turn out not only delicious, but also useful.

First, we will make a special sauce. Mix 2 tablespoons of natural yogurt, 1 tablespoon of cream cheese, olive oil and lemon juice. Season the sauce with salt and black pepper. Boil 150 g of quinoa in slightly salted water, drain the excess liquid and cool it. Hard-boiled 4 eggs, remove the shell and three on a fine grater. We knead 200 g of canned tuna with a fork.

We put a layer of tuna in a serving bowl, cover it with a mesh of sauce. Next — a layer of boiled quinoa, smeared with sauce. Spread a layer of grated egg on top, decorate with sauce and sprinkle with chopped walnuts. We cool the salad properly and serve it to the table.

Couscous with refreshing notes

If dieters are expected among the guests, treat them to something special. For example, a salad of feta, fresh vegetables and couscous “National”. Couscous is another kind of durum wheat groats, processed in an unusual way. The grains are ground, moistened, rolled into tiny balls and completely dried. This technology allows you to do without cooking, just soaking the couscous in boiling water.

Put 150 g of couscous in a deep bowl, pour 300 ml of hot water, add a pinch of salt and 1 tsp of olive oil. Stir the grits well, cover with a lid and stand for 10 minutes. At this time, cut 150 g of feta into slices, knead with a fork. 4 cherry tomatoes cut in half, cut the cucumber into small slices. Chop the red onion into thin half-rings, chop the dill.

Put the couscous on the bottom of the salad bowl, then spread out the chopped vegetables, herbs, add large olives. To prevent the salad from getting dry, sprinkle it with a mixture of olive oil and lemon juice. Be sure to serve it warm.

Turkey in the company of chickpeas

If guests do not count calories, treat them to a salad of turkey, dried tomatoes and chickpeas “National”. Large golden-yellow grains have a deep taste with nutty notes.
