Non-drug methods of weight loss in patients with excess weight, unfortunately, show extremely low efficiency. Only 5% of patients can successfully lose weight without drug therapy, and only 10% can maintain a 10% weight loss within 1 year, so the prescription of drugs is, in the vast majority of cases, an unavoidable and necessary measure.

The mechanism of action of Reduxin

Reduxin is effective for weight loss, regardless of gender, age and concomitant diseases due to work in 3 directions:

1. Increases the level of its own (endogenous) hormone of joy – serotonin. A person ceases to be addicted to food, his hunger and cravings for fatty and sweet things decrease, and the feeling of satiety increases. Portions are reduced – weight is reduced, a person learns to eat right.

2. Activates the breakdown of fat and increases internal energy consumption, which further enhances the effectiveness of weight loss.

3. Helps to develop the right eating habits, which further contributes to the retention of the achieved results.

Indications for use

Reduxin is indicated for overweight people for the rational reduction and further retention of body weight, the formation of proper eating habits and the maintenance of a healthy lifestyle.

• Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug;

• The presence of organic causes of obesity;

• Cardiovascular diseases: ischemic heart disease, chronic heart failure in the stage of decompensation, occlusive diseases of peripheral arteries, tachycardia, arrhythmia, stroke, transient cerebrovascular accident, uncontrolled arterial hypertension;

• Severe violations of the liver and / or kidney function;

• Established pharmacological, drug or alcohol addiction;

• Do not use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age and the elderly over 65 years of age;

Side effects

Most often, side effects occur in the first 4 weeks of treatment. Their severity and frequency weaken over time and are, in general, mild and reversible.

Very often or often there is dry mouth, insomnia, headache, dizziness, anxiety, paresthesia, as well as changes in taste, tachycardia, palpitations, increased blood pressure, vasodilation, loss of appetite and constipation, often nausea and exacerbation of hemorrhoids, increased sweating.

Dosage of the drug

Reduxin is convenient and easy to use: just 1 capsule per day continuously for up to 1 year.

If during the reception dry mouth appears and you want to drink more, it means that an active process of splitting adipose tissue and weight loss has begun, follow an adequate drinking regimen.

Recommended initial dosage of Reduxine 10 mg. Capsules should be taken in the morning without chewing and with a glass of water. The drug can be taken on an empty stomach or combined with food intake. If within 4 weeks from the start of treatment a decrease in body weight of less than 2 kg is achieved, then the dose is increased to 15 mg.

Overdose and its treatment

There are very few data on overdose. There is no specific treatment, it is necessary to perform general measures.

Compatibility with other drugs

It is not recommended to take Reduxin simultaneously with drugs that increase the level of serotonin (antidepressants, potent analgesics, some anti-migraine and antitussive drugs), antiarrhythmic drugs, H1-histamine blockers.

Contraindicated simultaneous use with drugs for the treatment of mental disorders and other drugs for the treatment of centrally acting obesity.

Does not enhance the effect of alcohol, does not affect the effects of oral contraceptives.

Active control of blood pressure and heart rate is recommended in the initial stages of treatment.
