Facial skin is often prone to various diseases and irritations. One of them is the so-called “red nose”. If the usual washing with soap and other procedures do not lead to improvement, then you have caught an infection that needs to be fought in other ways.

Red nose, or demodicosis, is an infection caused by a subcutaneous tick. At first, redness at the very tip of the nose, but then covers it completely. If the disease is started, it can spread to the cheeks as well as the forehead. In a short time, the nose becomes covered with a network of sinuous veins, filled with blood, acquiring a bluish tint. It can thicken and increase in volume, the sebaceous glands grow, a greasy sheen appears, and as a result, the nose looks like a pear.

Demodectic mange can be easily confused with ordinary vasodilatation, which is treated differently. It is best to immediately consult a doctor who will make an accurate diagnosis and prescribe the right course of treatment.

If it turned out that the nose turned red precisely due to infection with demodicosis, it is necessary to take special anti-inflammatory and antiparasitic creams and ointments. Also for external use, special lotions and shaken mixtures are suitable. When choosing them, be sure to consult with your doctor. As additional procedures, gentle skin cleansing, active moisturizing and reliable protection from the sun are carried out.

Pay attention to your general condition. The appearance of red spots can also be the result of anemia, colds, indigestion, stress, intense excitement and menstruation. Also, the cause of redness may be a pustular inflammation of the hair follicles located in the nostrils. In this case, you first need to remove the underlying disease, after which the redness of the nose will go away by itself.

If you have a cold, remember to wash and bleach your handkerchiefs.

If redness occurs due to enlarged pores and local vascular disorders, reconsider your diet. It is worth remembering that overeating can cause a rush of blood. Spicy foods, hot dishes, alcohol too much, as well as strong tea and coffee sin with this, they must be quickly disposed of.

Often the nose can become redder and more swollen than usual due to sudden changes in the weather, so to avoid this, the nose should be tempered. A couple of times a week, make compresses or baths of chamomile or sage decoction, alternating hot and cold. Also try not to go light in winter (just do not wear synthetic scarves) and avoid direct sun in summer. Before going out into the cold, grease your nose with melted duck or goose fat and powder.

For a nose reddened from frost, you can make a decoction of lime blossom and wipe it in the morning and before bedtime. Also, while standing by an open window in the morning, do special exercises for the nose, alternating a series of long and short nasal breaths with a series of exhalations.
