Recipes for homemade tinctures of vodka, moonshine and alcohol on prunes

Ordinary prunes will help you turn vodka or moonshine into an original drink. Tinctures based on it have long been famous for their excellent mild taste, you just need to know how to cook them correctly. We will look at how to make a tincture of moonshine, vodka or alcohol on prunes at home. The recipes are very simple and do not require rare ingredients.

For the preparation of tinctures, both store-bought and home-made prunes are suitable, there is no fundamental difference here. When choosing in a store, I do not recommend buying fruits that are too black (they are treated with glycerin to increase the shelf life) and light brown, which were doused with boiling water before drying. Some of the useful properties and aromatic substances in them are irretrievably lost.

Moonshine recipe for prunes

This option is most suitable for moonshine, the unpleasant aftertaste of which is leveled by the addition of pepper, cloves and vanillin. But if desired, the recipe is absolutely acceptable for the preparation of prune tincture from vodka or diluted alcohol.

Ingredients:

  • moonshine (vodka, alcohol) – 0,5 l;
  • pitted prunes – 4 pieces;
  • allspice – 1 piece;
  • cloves – 1 piece;
  • black pepper – 3 pieces;
  • vanillin – 1-2 grams.

Preparation

1. Crush the pepper and cloves with a rolling pin.

2. Add all ingredients to a jar with a tight-fitting lid.

3. Pour in vodka or moonshine, close the lid and shake well.

4. Infuse for 10 days in a dark place.

5. Filter the finished tincture through several layers of gauze and pour into bottles.

In the refrigerator or cellar, the drink can be stored for more than a year. The tincture has a pronounced smell and taste of prunes with light notes of pepper. Suitable for any savory dishes, goes well with hard cheeses and cold cuts.

Prune tincture on vodka

Homemade tincture prepared according to this recipe has a sweet aftertaste and is more suitable for ladies or as a dessert drink. As an alcohol base, I recommend taking good vodka or alcohol diluted to 45 degrees.

Composition:

  • prunes with pits – 400 grams;
  • sugar – 250 gram;
  • vodka – 2 liters.

Preparation

1. Add prunes and sugar to a three-liter jar.

2. Fill with vodka.

3. Close the jar with a lid, shake it up and put it in a dark place for 14-16 days. It is not recommended to keep the drink longer than 20 days, as harmful substances from the seeds can get into the tincture.

4. Filter the prune tincture through gauze, pour into bottles and close tightly with corks.

To reduce the strength, before using the tincture, it can be diluted with apple juice in the desired proportions.
