Hot and sweet in one ingredient, jalapeno pepper syrup is a fantastic way to heat up your favorite smoothies.
This homemade syrup is very easy to make and can be adjusted to be as spicy as you like.
Syrup with jalapeno pepper
Ingredients
Brown sugar – 2 cups
Water – 1 cup
Jalapeno pepper – 2 pcs.
Method of preparation
Wash, clean and cut the pepper.
Add sugar and water to a saucepan, cook over medium heat and stir constantly until the sugar dissolves.
Add the jalapeno to the pot. Bring to a boil while stirring.
Reduce heat to a low boil and simmer for three minutes.
Remove from heat and leave for 20 minutes.
Strain through a fine strainer to remove pepper.
Pour the syrup into a glass container with a tightly closed lid and store in the refrigerator.
