Pine nuts are unique in their composition. They are rich in active substances that have a healing effect. Therefore, very often for the treatment of diseases such as hearing impairment, urolithiasis, metabolic disorders, tincture of cedar nuts is used. In addition, it is quite tasty as an intoxicating drink for any feast.
There are a lot of recipes for cedar liqueur. You can prepare such a drink from both whole and ground nuts. You can also add honey and get a completely different taste. You need to choose a recipe solely from your own taste.
Cedar tincture recipes
A strong aromatic drink is obtained from only two components: – 1 glass of pine nuts; – half a liter of vodka (or alcohol).
To prepare it at home, prepare the nuts: rinse them thoroughly so that various debris does not float in the finished tincture. You can use whole nuts – in shell, or you can use peeled nuts. Put the nuts in a glass jar and fill them with vodka. Then place the jar in a dark and dry place for 3 weeks. Pour the finished tincture into a beautiful bottle and put it on the table.
Remember that if you use pure alcohol to make a tincture, it must be diluted with water. Otherwise, the tincture will be too strong.
Another version of the tincture is prepared using honey. Such a drink is not only tasty as an alcoholic one. It is also very useful for various vitamin deficiencies, lowered immunity, nervous disorders, anemia and other diseases. For its preparation you will need: – 1 kg of inshell pine nuts; – boiled water; – 1 liter of alcohol; – 1 kg of honey.
First, take a hammer and break all the nuts, you should get almost a porridge of the kernels and husks together. Then put this mass in a glass jar and fill everything with water so that it covers the nut layer. Set aside to infuse for 4 days, then pour alcohol into the jar and leave for another month. After 30 days, add honey to the jar.
This version of the tincture is not suitable for people suffering from honey intolerance. It is worth remembering this and choosing other options for the preparation of cedar liqueur.
You can also make a mixed tincture. To do this, take: – 1 glass of pine nuts; – half a liter of vodka.
Fill the nuts with vodka and put in a dark place for 1 week. A signal about the readiness of the tincture will be the fact that the nucleoli in the nuts have disappeared, i.e. dissolved. Filter the tincture. Pour the remaining nuts with vodka again, but already 250 g and leave to infuse for 2 weeks. Then filter again. Mix both tinctures together. You need to store such a drink only in a dark place.
Rules for the use of cedar tincture
The amount of tincture used depends on the goals you are pursuing. So, for example, if you have chosen a cedar liqueur for a feast, you can drink it in glasses, but not much. Sometimes the next day after the gatherings, if too much has been drunk, there is a headache, nausea, and so on.
If you are going to use the tincture for medicinal purposes, it should be taken drop by drop. As a rule, they start with 5, and then gradually increase the amount to 10-15 drops. In this situation, it is better to first consult with your doctor.
