Reaching, save

What is psychological maturity?

This is the ability to appreciate what you have in the present, according to psychologists Natalie Ebner (Natalie Ebner) and Paul Baltes (Paul Baltes) from the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin (Germany). After analyzing the life goals of young and old people, they confirmed that with age, the goals of achievement, growth and development are replaced by the desire to preserve what is important for a person, prevent losses and, in particular, maintain physical and mental fitness. But the orientation towards preservation among young people is, according to scientists, rather an alarming sign: it is still not worth becoming an elderly person ahead of time.
