10 Remember | year 2000
Tape “Remember” 2000 opens the rating of films with an unpredictable outcome. Leonard Shelby is looking for his wife’s killer. The murder provoked the appearance of amnesia in the hero. He remembers everything that came before him, but he cannot remember information from fifteen minutes ago. Leonard has to keep notes for himself about current events, developed versions and conjectures. He puts especially important information on his body in the form of tattoos. The intrigue is created by the fact that the narrative is divided into five-minute segments, which are shown in reverse chronological order. And three-minute pieces are embedded in the “five-minutes”, where events unfold in normal time.
9. Mysterious river | 2003
Great acting made the movie “Mystic River” (2003) two-time Oscar nominee. Johnny Markum’s daughter is murdered and his friend Detective Sean Devin is investigating the murder. Johnny himself wants to find the killer and take revenge on him. His suspicions fall on childhood friend Dave Boyle. The fact is that Dave was raped by a maniac 30 years ago and his psyche was disturbed. Sean works out this version and during the investigation discovers Dave’s car with traces of blood, but he says that the car was stolen from him. Johnny is finally convinced that Dave is the killer and at gunpoint forces him to confess it, and then kills and throws the body into the river. But this is not the end of the story. The next day, Sean tells Marcum that Dave couldn’t have killed his daughter.
8. Taking lives | 2004
“Taking Lives” (2004) – a film about a serial killer who has not been caught by the police for 20 years. Martin Escher runs away from home and meets a young man on the bus. They decide to continue the journey together by car. But on the way, Martin pushes the guy under a passing car, and he dies. Escher takes the documents of the deceased and begins to live under his name. After 20 years, a corpse is found with cut off hands and a broken face. This is not the first crime with such an emphasis, and the killer lives the life of the dead: he uses their houses, pays with credit cards. The police are confused. Then the case is transferred to FBI agent Illyana Scott. During the investigation, she managed to find a witness to another such murder of James Costa. He tries his best to help her, because according to all data, Costa is the next victim. And the perpetrator actually turns out to be discovered and killed during the shootout. But Martin’s mother appears and claims to have seen her son. Illyana hurries to meet her, but finds her dead, and next to James Costa.
7. The price of betrayal | 2005 year
Picture “The Price of Treason” (2005) tells the story of a simple office worker, Charles Schein, whose life has changed dramatically because of a minute late for the train. Charles has a family, a job, but he is bored with this daily routine. And when a beautiful girl decided to meet him on the next train, he did not refuse her. This was followed by dinner at a restaurant and an evening at the hotel. But suddenly an armed man bursts into the room, beats up Charles and rapes the girl. From that moment on, the hero’s life turns into a continuous lie, the end of which is not foreseen.

“Do not tell anyone” (2006) a thriller with an absolutely unpredictable ending. Alexander Beck’s wife Margot was attacked in the park. Alexander tried to protect her, but was stunned by the blow. For eight years he has lived with the pain of loss. Unexpectedly, two more bodies are found at the scene of the murder of his wife, and in the pocket of one of them is the key to Margo’s safe deposit box. The police decide to reopen the investigation. At the same time, Alexander receives an email with a video recording of his wife. Then he receives a text from his wife asking for a meeting. Margo’s girlfriend is suddenly killed, and a murder weapon is found in Alexander’s apartment. He escapes from the police and begins his own investigation.
5. Faces in the crowd | 2011
Movie’s unpredictable ending “Faces in the Crowd” (2011) puts it in the fifth position in the ranking. Anna Marchant goes on a date with her boyfriend Bryce after meeting with her friends, and passing through an abandoned building, she becomes an unwitting witness to a murder. The killer notices Anna and starts chasing her. The heroine falls off the bridge and hits her head. The killer thinks she’s dead, but Anna wakes up. Only after the fall, she does not remember anything and does not even recognize Bryce. The faces of the people with whom she communicates, as soon as they go out of sight, are immediately forgotten. “Source” (2011) – a thriller full of mysteries and unexpected turns of events. Soldier Colter Stevens was in the body of another person riding a train with a girl. An unexpected explosion destroys the train, and Colter wakes up in a secret laboratory. There, they explain to him that he has been chosen for a special mission – to save Chicago from the explosion of a second, more powerful bomb. And the Source Code program allows you to move into the body of another person in the last 8 minutes while he is alive. The head of the operation explains that the program cannot change the past and Colter will not be able to save those who died on the train, but the hero does not believe him.
3. Unknown | 2011
“Unknown” (2011) – a film about a man trying to regain his own life. Martin Harris leaves for Germany for a conference and gets into an accident there. After spending several days in a coma, he wakes up to find that his documents are not with him. To confirm his identity, he goes to the hotel and finds out that another person lives under his name. Moreover, Harris’s wife lives with him, who does not recognize him. Martin tries his best to find at least someone in a foreign country who could confirm his identity. He goes to Professor Cole, who was also supposed to take part in the conference, who reveals a secret to him: Martin is not a biologist at all, but a hired killer.

Film “Prisoners” (2013) tells the story of a terrible story that happened in the family of Keller Dover. On Thanksgiving day, his daughter and the neighbor’s girl were stolen. Suspicion falls on the driver of a van parked next to the house, he is arrested, but released due to lack of evidence. Keller is not going to wait for the police and begins the search himself. He is convinced that the driver is a maniac. Dover finds him and locks him up under arrest. A few days later, a neighbor’s girl is found alive and drugged. She led Keller to a guess about the real kidnapper.
1. Disappeared | year 2014
Thriller “Gone Girl” ranked among the top ten films of 2014. Nick Dunn returns home to find his wife has been kidnapped. The detective investigating the case notices a contradiction in Nick’s behavior and finds evidence that Nick may have killed his wife himself and framed it as a kidnapping. Moreover, the police found his wife’s diary, in which she described her fear of her husband. Nick turns out to be the prime suspect. At the same time, he discovers a number of evidence that his wife is alive and specifically throws evidence that testifies to the guilt of her husband.
