Raspberry rose-leaved: description, planting and care

Choose a sunny, spacious, fertile area to grow this variety of raspberries. It is better to plant a seedling in the fall, before the onset of autumn frosts. When planting in spring, the culture does not take root well.

Raspberries sprout quickly, so plant them along a fence, in a flower bed, or in a flowerpot. If you do not want the shrubbery to occupy the entire garden plot, dig in slate sheets along the border of the allotted area.

Landing:

  1. Dig a hole up to 50 cm deep and immerse a raspberry stalk into it.
  2. Water the seedling liberally.
  3. Tamp the soil around.

After 3-4 years, the bush will begin to bear fruit.

Care consists in removing weeds and excess growth, regularly loosening the soil. This raspberry variety loves watering plentifully. Water your bushes regularly, especially in hot weather. To prevent the soil from drying out quickly, mulch with peat or compost.

To maintain the beautiful appearance of the bush, pick ripe fruits. But you do not need to pick all the berries at once, do it gradually. When thickening, form a crown, cut off branches that grow chaotically and spoil the appearance of the bush.

Raspberries do not need shelter for the winter. With the onset of frost, the above-ground part of the bush dies off, and the next year it grows again.

Rose-leaved raspberry has no resemblance to the common variety. This is a decorative look. Such raspberries look in group plantings along fences, can serve as a living fence. For most of the season, it will delight the eye, first with white flowers, and then with deep red berries.
