At the same time, on hot days, it is necessary to hide the bushes from direct sunlight. The plant does not tolerate high temperatures.
In the process of growing, you need to take care of the shrubs. Do it like this:
- Moisten the soil regularly, at least once a week. Water the plant at the root, morning and evening, during flowering and fruiting. Use about 3 buckets of water per bush.
- After watering, loosen the soil shallowly, about 7 cm deep. Do this about 6 times per season.
- In early spring, start feeding raspberries, at this time add nitrogen, potash and phosphorus fertilizers to the soil. In the summer, once every 45 days, add complex mixtures to the ground, which include ammonium nitrate, potassium salt and superphosphate. In the fall, fertilize the soil with organic additives.
- In the spring and fall, cut off damaged, dry branches and stems on which the berries were growing. After harvesting the second crop, in late autumn, root the plant back. Cover the soil with peat or moss, and cover with spruce branches on top.
- The spreading bush can be tied to a support, this will simplify its care and facilitate harvesting.
