“Rafaello” made of cheese and crab sticks is a spicy and tender appetizer that looks like a candy of the same name. It takes very little time to prepare this dish, and the variability of the ingredients included in Rafaello gives the appetizer a variety of flavors.

Rafaello cheese recipe with crab sticks

To make tender cheese and crab stick rafaelki, you will need the following products:

  • 200 grams of Dutch cheese
  • 100 grams of crab sticks
  • 1 egg
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 3-4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 can of olives stuffed with lemon

Grate the Dutch cheese on a coarse grater and the frozen crab sticks on a fine grater. Peel the cloves of garlic and pass through a press. Hard boil the egg, cool, peel and chop with a knife.

Combine grated cheese with garlic and minced egg. Add mayonnaise and mix well. You should get a viscous cheese mass.

You can make stuffed olives yourself. Grind the walnut kernels and stuff the pitted olives with them. “Rafaello” will acquire an unusual piquant taste if you replace stuffed olives with sweet grapes

Make small balls from the prepared mixture. Flatten each ball slightly to make a flat cake. Place the stuffed olive in the middle and join the edges of the flatbread so that it is inside the rafaelka.

Then roll the cooked balls in grated crab sticks, place them on a dish and put them in the refrigerator for 2 hours to soak.

To prepare “Rafaello” according to this recipe, you need to take:

  • 200 grams of crab sticks
  • 2 cooked yolk
  • 3-4 tablespoons of grated cheese
  • 2-3 tablespoons of thick mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs
  • pepper
  • salt

Pass the crab sticks through a meat grinder together with boiled yolks and grated cheese. Season to taste with salt and pepper and mix with mayonnaise.

Then form from the cooked mass into small balls the size of a plum and roll each in finely chopped dill or parsley.

Spicy rafaelki are served chilled to the table.

Rafaello recipe with cottage cheese

To make “Rafaello” with cheese, cottage cheese and crab sticks you will need:

  • 500 grams of granular cottage cheese
  • 200 grams of semi-hard cheese
  • 250 grams of crab sticks
  • 1 can pitted olives
  • 1 pickled cucumber
  • ½ bunch of dill

Grate semi-hard cheese on a medium grater and combine with grainy curd. Chop the pickled cucumber with a knife and mix with the cheese-curd mixture. Salt if necessary.

Wash the dill, dry it, chop finely, add to the prepared mass and mix everything thoroughly.

Crab sticks are easier to grate when frozen

Form into walnut-sized balls, place the olive inside. Grate the crab sticks on a fine grater, season the rafaelki in them and put them in the refrigerator for a couple of hours before serving.
