– MP Arłukowicz probably did not get acquainted with the bill, and his statements are dictated only by the constant desire to appear politically – for MedTvoiLokony, the Ministry of Health commented on Bartosz Arłukowicz’s statement. The former health minister on TVN24 called the idea of Minister Radziwiłł “a ticking bomb waiting for patients,” and even called for help from Prime Minister Szydło and President Kaczyński. It is about the so-called hospital network.
Let us recall: one of the main points of the health care reform, which is being prepared by Konstanty Radzwiłł, is the end of financing individual operations, procedures and medical consultations by the National Health Fund. Hospitals have had connect to the network. And only this would guarantee them a contract with the National Health Fund and money (in the form of a lump sum) for the comprehensive treatment of patients (including rehabilitation and nursing care).
– Zbigniew Religa has already said that this project requires the closure of approx. 200 hospitals in Poland. Minister Radziwiłł’s project envisages that out of 140 hospitals in the Silesian Voivodeship, only 60 will join the network. Many hospitals throughout Poland will also not be able to get hold of it. They will have to be liquidated, they will not be financed. Armageddon is brewing! – added Arłukowicz, lamented Bartosz Arłukowicz in “Fakty po Faktach”.
Medonet asked the Ministry of Health for comment. What does the current minister of health say? “It is hard not to get the impression that after MP Arłukowicz has simply not read the bill, and his statements are dictated only by the constant will to appear politically,” says Milena Kruszewska, spokeswoman for the ministry, on behalf of Konstanty Radziwiłł. Konstanty Radziwiłł, together with experts preparing the hospital network project, believes that the change will make it easier for patients to access specialist examinations, operations and treatment in hospitals. And for the latter to guarantee an adequate level of financing and financial stability.
Bartosz Arłukowicz thinks otherwise, and even calls for help from Beata Szydło and Jarosław Kaczyński: “I am asking the Prime Minister and President Kaczyński to influence Minister Radziwiłł so that projects that eliminate hospitals do not arise in Poland. I have the impression that he (Minister Radziwiłł – ed.) Does not know that he is liquidating them ”.
What does the Ministry of Health say? We quote a fragment of Milena Kruszewska’s statement for Medonet:
“At this stage of the project, it is not possible to say how many hospitals will be included in the network. The remarks are being analyzed in the ministry as the draft was submitted for public consultation. The discussion takes place among representatives of hospitals and experts ”.
The Radziwiłła project assumes that six levels will be distinguished within the PES (basic hospital security system for healthcare services). And hospitals that do not meet the statutory eligibility conditions in the PES will still have a chance to be financed, if they receive a positive opinion from the minister of health.
