PSYchology

Well posed question — this is the question that a participant in a business conversation wants to answer, can answer or over which he wants to think, and he will be interested in cooperation.

To ask means to acquire information and express an assessment of the information received. To ask means to show interest in a communication partner and a willingness to devote time to him. However, with your inept, annoying, inappropriate questions, you can achieve the opposite effect: instead of communication, the partner will become wary, close, or even completely refuse to cooperate. That is why it is so important to be able to ask (formulate) questions correctly.

Asking questions is an essential communication skill.

Information does not always come in as much as we would like. During business communication, you often have to obtain the necessary information from your partners, asking them about all the essential aspects of the case.

One or another way of posing the question can achieve different goals:

  • To interest the interlocutor and give him the opportunity to speak, so that he himself provides you with the necessary information.
  • Activate your communication partner and move from your own monologue to a dialogue with him, which is more effective in business communication.
  • Direct the process of information exchange in a direction that corresponds to your plans and interests.
  • Seize and hold the initiative in communication.
