General description of the disease

 

Sarcoidosis is a chronic systemic disease of an inflammatory nature, in which the formation of specific nodules, accumulations of inflammatory cells – granulomas is noted. The disease is quite rare, previously known as “Beck-Benier-Schaumann disease».

Sarcoidosis causes

The causes of sarcoidosis have not yet been studied, but it is known that the disease is not infectious, therefore, it is not contagious.

According to some scientists, sarcoidosis can occur as a result of the action of bacteria, parasites, metal compounds, pathogenic fungi, plant pollen, however, this has not been proven.

Most scientists are still inclined to believe that sarcoidosis is a consequence of a complex of causes, namely:

Symptoms of sarcoidosis

Increased fatigue is the main symptom. At the same time, severe morning fatigue is noted, due to which it is difficult for the patient to get out of bed. Daytime fatigue forces a person to take frequent breaks from work. In addition, evening fatigue, which appears in the afternoon and chronic fatigue syndrome, is noted.

  • With sarcoidosis, it is useful to eat cereals, vegetables (asparagus, beans, carrots, all types of cabbage, eggplant, cucumbers, celery, lettuce, peas, radishes, tomatoes), wholemeal bread, cereal bread, dried apricots, prunes, skim milk, strawberries, grapefruit , zucchini, artichokes, chickpeas, greens, as they are rich in complex carbohydrates. Complex carbohydrates differ from simple ones in that they are indispensable for proper nutrition – they participate in the synthesis of energy without increasing blood sugar levels.
  • Onions and garlic are believed to be beneficial for sarcoidosis, although this has not been scientifically proven.
  • Doctors recommend eating more gooseberries, cherries, pomegranates, sea buckthorn, chokeberry and black currant, seaweed, buckwheat, oatmeal, beans, peas, nuts, apricot kernels, as they saturate the body with useful substances and vitamins that help the body fight inflammatory process.
  • It is also useful to eat rose hips, sweet and hot peppers, honeysuckle, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, red cabbage and broccoli, horseradish, rowan berries, strawberries, spinach, citrus fruits, kiwi, as they contain vitamin C, which helps the body fight many poisons and toxins …
  • It is useful to drink infusions of rose hips, raspberries, citrus peels, currant leaves, as well as freshly squeezed juices of pomegranate, citrus fruits, apple-carrot juice, as they enrich the body with vitamin C and useful substances.
  • You should also pay special attention to the use of liver, viburnum, eel meat, butter, seaweed, feta cheese, processed cheese, seaweed, oysters, cottage cheese, sweet potatoes, sour cream, garlic, as they are rich in vitamin A – an anti-infectious vitamin. It is not only responsible for enhancing immunity, but also improves the body’s resistance to infections.
  • It is also important to consume whole grain breads, green peas, almonds, bran, whole wheat, white rice, flour, potatoes, apples, cabbage, carrots, greens, lentils, raisins, beans, peanuts, and broccoli, which contain fiber. It is able to cleanse the body and normalize bowel function.
  • In addition, doctors recommend adding to your diet young sprouts of cereals, eggs, milk, almonds, hazelnuts, peanuts, pistachios, cashews, walnuts, dried apricots, spinach, sorrel, sea buckthorn, prunes, eel, salmon, pike perch, oatmeal and barley cereals, as they are rich in vitamin E. It strengthens the body’s defenses and promotes wound healing.
  • The consumption of peas, seaweed, dried apricots, prunes, potatoes, cashews, walnuts and pine nuts, hazelnuts, almonds, raisins, figs, apples, rice enriches the body with potassium, which neutralizes the negative effects of medical treatment of sarcoidosis.

Treatment of sarcoidosis with alternative methods

  1. 1 For sarcoidosis, it is recommended to take 3/1 cup of tincture of oregano, bird knotweed, calendula, plantain and sage 3 times a day half an hour before meals. Chopped herbs (1 tablespoon each) are brewed with 250 ml of boiling water and insisted in a thermos. The course of treatment is 5 days, after which a 3-week break is taken. Then a repetition of the course of treatment follows.
  2. 2 An infusion of 9 parts of St. John’s wort and stinging nettle, 1 part of peppermint, coltsfoot, calendula, cinquefoil goose, plantain, celandine, chamomile, string and knotweed, which is brewed with 500 ml of boiling water and insisted for 60 minutes, also helps well.
  3. 3 You can also make a tincture from the beaver gland (pour 100 g of the gland with 500 ml of vodka). Apply 20 drops before meals 3 times a day. Additionally, you can use badger and bear fat.
  4. 4 Also, for sarcoidosis, you can use an aqueous extract of lungwort (1 part of lungwort per 10 parts of water). Take 1/3 cup 3 times a day, twice a week. It has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties.
  5. 5 Also, with this disease, a mixture of 30 g of vodka and 30 g of vegetable oil helps well. It is taken 3 times a day for 7-12 months. The improvement, which is recorded on x-ray images, is noticeable rather quickly.

Dangerous and harmful foods for sarcoidosis

  • Also, with sarcoidosis, there is an increased content of calcium in the blood, therefore, during this period, you should not abuse products with its content, namely: processed cheese, feta cheese, cottage cheese, mustard, hazelnuts, pistachios, almonds, beans, peas, walnuts, barley, cream , sour cream, oatmeal, as such food can provoke the appearance of kidney stones.
  • Also, you should not get carried away with sweets and flour products, such as sugar, cakes, pastries, sweets, sweet carbonated drinks, yeast dough products, since they contain an increased amount of simple carbohydrates that contribute to the inflammatory process.
  • It is not advisable to use spicy, salty, fried foods, spices, as they have a positive effect on the inflammatory process.
  • It is forbidden to consume alcoholic beverages known for their harmful effects on the body.
