- Are we sick of the news?
Anna Skavitina, children’s analyst:
“Matvey, many adults are now overwhelmed with emotions. They do not know how to deal with them: there are many experiences, but there is no exact information about what is happening. This happens in other difficult situations as well. We evaluate what is happening, come up with an explanation, because we want to answer all the questions and calm down. You are used to listening and obeying adults. And I definitely noticed that now adults somehow especially contradict each other. And if you believe one, then it is as if you are quarreling with others or deceive their expectations. What to do? Some people decide to trust some expert, someone who is well versed in politics. And it becomes easier for them if they take sides. You, too, can choose your “expert”: a teacher, dad, or someone else to make you feel calmer. In this case, you do not have to prove your truth. Let your chosen expert prove it. But there is another way. I think you already know how to collect information yourself: on the Internet, from the stories of different adults and your trusted friends. The more you delve into the positions of different parties, the easier it will be for you to form your own opinion. You are entitled to it. For example, I firmly know that all people dream of peace, love and happiness. And they fight for food, land, gold or information. And even if they get it, the war does not bring them the most important thing: peace and love.”
